Thank IMNS Here are a few pictures of the game on the iPad: http://www.flickr.com/photos/32403409@N02/sets/72157623734233203/
Ok so after installing it again on my iPad, I didn't have any saved progress so I went through and started playing the levels again. Don't know if it's because I got better at the game, or if it is the iPad, but all my times are significantly dropping as I'm going through the levels I have noticed. It's definitely a whole nother experience playing the game on an iPad though, I could say probably more fun than playing it on the iPhone. Playing JCS on an iPad is much better than the tiny iPhone screen. You've got to try it!
Cool, looked like you had really small fingers untill my brain adjusted. Makes me really curious to see in person now. edit: I should also say thanks a lot to everybody for the vid and pics and feedback.
JCS seems to run fine on my (temporary) iPad. Since all the levels were locked, I didn't have the chance to try out more than a few easy levels and watch a few replays, which went without a hitch but looked even blockier than expected in double pixel mode. JCS is much better on the ipod touch IMO. I can't imagine being able to play as well on an iPad, but it's good to know that it's already compatible.
I'm thinking that it might play better on iPad if we changed the code to make the maximum steering angle less, so steering is more sesitive but, I really need to get my hands on one to find out.
Question about the new levels. Will they also have shortcuts? Also, will at least some of the cars have a tad more responsive air steering? Also maybe have an extra for each of the cars? I'm not done with game yet. Just learning and easy were very easy, medium was pretty hard, hard got very very hard, and impossible is just impossible. Well, not completely. Finished the first 2.
I thought this was a silly game (without even playing it, just going by the name alone) until i tried the lite version. was i wrong what a great game. anytips for a rookie? thanks
It will probably be a similar case with the levels, some will have big short cuts, some wont. There will be a full range of difficulty in the new levels. JCS2 will have extra cars. JCS2 might also have a new mode to try to keep people happy who don't like short cuts. But, first we have to finish the level pack!
Ok, I am back working on adding lighting and decoration to the DLC levels, attached are pitures for level 10/25 and 11/25. You can check out all the images so far in our DLC facebook album if you want.
LOL. I didn't know there are DLC packs. How many levels are there going to be in one pack? How much for one pack? And the difficulty? (25 levels?) Sorry for the questions, too lazy to look through the pages. Difficulty is important because I hate Hard and Impossible. So frustrating I'd prefer Easy and Intermediate, maybe Hard but not Impossible. Can't wait for the DLC packs.
There will be a full range of difficulty and at least 25 levels(all platforming), and we havn't decided on the cost yet. I'm not actually sure what prices you are allowed to set for in app purchaces. For anybody who missed it, check the last page for some new DLC screen shots. These ones are worth taking a look at.
From what i've seen, the choice of price for dlc Is the same for the game(so you can choose .99,1.99 or even 999.99 lol) Btw do you have an estimation of when it will be out? 1 month? 2?
I'm feeling good about a 1 month estimate at the moment, but it will depend on how difficult the in app purchace intergration stuff is to code and I can't see us asking more then 1.99.
Finally regained my rightful position atop the lite platforming E leaderbaord. After losing my top spot for a week I broke my high score three times; one that was .03 seconds behind the leader, one was .02, and finally I won
How about $1.99 for 15-17 levels and $2.99 for 25 levels. -Or $0.99 for 10 levels, $1.99 for 17 levels, and $2.99 for 25 levels (that includes all Hard and Impossible levels) I would buy the $1.99 pack, because I don't think I will try out the Impossible.. I can see people going for $2.99 if they wanted to. -Or maybe add a new car in the mix, but only in the $2.99 pack. The car doesn't have to be better or worse, just a new design on it
The thing is people have a mindset thinking "I paid $2 for the game with 25 platforming levels why should I pay more for the same thing"
Well, the devs can add to the update description that THE DLC IS JUST OPTIONAL. No need to hate and give out one to two stars reviews. I never had a thought about what you said, until now LOL I think the devs will do fine. I do like the price layout I had posted earlier.
lol trust me, none of the people that do that kind of thing reads the appstore descriptions. i was going through the zombiesmash reviews last night and one said "this is a crappy rip-off of plants vs zombies dont get" the games are nothing alike..
