When laying track, tilting back and forward changes the elevation. So to make a jump, you tilt back, then turn the track off.
Interesting. So is there any way to change the angle of the track? Or does everything get laid assuming we want a level surface? Sorry if thats not very clear
If you want an angled track the tilt and steering combined can achieve all that. The editor is very natural in the way it works... you will be surprised on what can be made with it. But most of all it's very easy to use, just drive and that's about it, with options to turn the track on and off combined with checkpoint laying. And a rewind option to rectify anything you don't like. When you are laying track then turn it off then back on again the car just lands on the newly turned on road and carries on driving. We think it's pretty neat... hardly any effort to make interesting tracks Once you create them you can upload them to our servers for other users to play. The other others can also rate the track. And we automatically rate the difficulty of it, based on how hard it was to complete. This alone will add months and months of content to get through that was created by other users.
Thanks! I've been trying to decide between iPad Air and retina Mini to replace my current iPad 3 for almost a month now. Was leaning towards Air as I don't really use my iPad for gaming as much anymore. But it's the mini now for sure. As much as I loved JCS on my trusty old iPod touch, I couldn't really play it on the iPad coz of its size and weight. Even for JCS 2 I was hoping to find a decent iOS 7 controller or else it'd have just ended up as yet another barely played game on my iPad. All the controllers announced so far are crap so was afraid I'd have to miss out on JCS 2 too. Not anymore! Sacrificing the almost 50% extra screen real estate just to ensure I can enjoy JCS 2. Thanks for ending my dilemma
You are welcome For me the iPad mini retina just feels right for the game, it feels good in your hands... it's the ideal form for JCS2. The graphics look good at that resolution on the retina screen. The controls with the weight of the device also feels spot on. Of course the game works well on the smaller screens and the larger iPad ones as well But my personal choice is the iPad mini retina... you will certainly not go wrong getting an iPad mini retina to play JCS2 Edit. Just to add, one of the updates we want to do is connect to HD TV and when the iOS7 wireless controllers come out for the iPad (we support these controllers on launch) the game will be pretty awesome on the big screen. Next year for True Axis will be about updating JCS2 and True Skate. We firmly believe in updating the games we do and listening the community that play our games!
the additional content sounds great to play around on, but will the levels be sorted in some way? Ranked? And is there any hidden IAP to let me to throw more money at you incredible devs?
The levels can be sorted by date / car / popularity / rank / difficulty and filtered by today, this week, this month, all time and car. Levels can be ranked by users. Difficulty is estimated by average retry counts. I suspect we might need to add some kind name search function in an update. You can send a challenge on a user level too if you want to send a level to a friend. At launch, you will require face book to send challenges. There are no hidden throw money at us IAP, but, I guess you probably want to play the game before you decide we are so worthy
Facebook Hi So do you need Facebook for all challenges? I have no interest in Facebook but love the challenges with replys of jcs1. Please tell me I will still be able to use this feature Many thanks
User challenges will require facebook at launch, full stop. We may consider adding other ways to send challenges at a later date, but no guarantees on that yet. Can't say I am a big Facebook fan my self. I just use it for marketing, and for logging in to things, but when started the code for this, it seemed like the best and easiest option. There some alternatives now such as game center challenges. We do want to keep improving the connectivity stuff, but we have so many things we want to do that I am not sure of the priorities yet.
This editor is what will keep me playing this game for ages. It's what still has me hooked on geometry dash
The Level Editor on device in action. Enjoy Edit: From the video description: The JCS2 level editor has a different visual style to the rest of the game which looks more like the original. This visual difference is because of technical limitations, but it looks pretty cool in its own way. The video was actually recorded on an iPhone 4s, before the iPhone5 was available, but we decided to delay releasing the video when it started to become clear that True Skate was going to cause JCS2 to be delayed. I never thought it would take this much time and effort to finish. We even ended up with a bigger team working on the game to get it done. The amount of content is enormous.
No you can not And speaking of fun, have a good New Years Eve from True Axis! And we will see you on the other side in 2014 on the launch of Jet Car Stunts 2
Track editor looks great. I usually never create levels in games, but this seems so simple and fun at the same time, that I'll definitely be trying my hand at making levels Question: how do you obstacles/barriers on the track?
