'Edit:*' After reinstalling, turning off wifi, rebooting then opening the app, it managed to open The only issue is that the purchase has gone through in iTunes, but doesn't seem to have been registered in game, with restoring purchases doing nothing. 'Edit2*': Hitting 'buy' again displays a popup that it has been purchased, but needs to be downloaded. Is there supposed to be a download progress screen like JCS1? *all edits were done during the creation of this post
I just realized IAP got disabled on my ipad3 in the restrictions settings of the device. Problem solved. I can't believe didn't think of that sooner.
I got this error when trying to restore purchases: EDIT: Was resolved after logging out of my iTunes account and then restarting.
Did you get the itunes pop up asking you to download? Did you say yes? If so, you should get a download indicator in the store. I was going to ask you about that, but I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt.
It just tells me that I've purchased and can download. Hitting ok simply dismisses the dialogue and no further prompts appear.
I deleted my account and created a new one and changed name but it still goes back to the name Player. Not a big deal. I will just leave it that way.
I downloaded, played a few levels and I'm having fun! I'm on the fence about purchasing and I think the system of unlocking the levels is fair. I'm on a new iPad Air 128 gig. Here is my question-Is the game supposed to only show the top 10 for each race? It tells me the percentages I finished but If I am number 38 in the first race on medium, it would be cool to see my name. Perhaps that's narcissistic. I'm thinking if I plunk down the money I will see the full leaderboards. -Donny K PS I see a few touch arcaders in the leaderboards such as Hoggy and Gabrien-Kudos!
I just had a crash that erased all my data.. The first 15 or 20 levels or so, gold on most of them. Here is how it happened: I played for a bit then decided to buy the $5 mega pack IAP. It started downloading and at around 95% done I ran out of space on my iPad (air, 64gb, I had just installed a few other large apps). It sent me into settings to delete stuff to make room. Once I had done so I switched back to JCS2 and the app rebooted from the title screen. I first went the store, and saw my purchase was still there, but there was no way to redownload the IAP content. I tried restoring purchases but that didn't seem to do anything. I started looking through the available levels but I can't tell if the new levels I purchased are there or not since I don't know what I am looking for. Then I noticed all my saved level completions were gone. I tried restarting the app but it didn't help. I just deleted the app and it is reinstalling as I write this. I didn't necessarily have to reinstall but since I'm unsure if the IAP content is there, plus my work is gone, i figured that would be safer. Luckily it was only an hour or two of work lost, but still frustrating. Lesson learned: Make sure you have plenty of free space before downloading any IAP. Update: after reinstalling I restored purchases and it downloaded the IAP without any problems. Oddly enough the two levels I beat after losing my data but before reinstalling remained completed even though I had completely removed the app. I guess this means they were cloud saved or something, it's a shame the other 20 or so levels I beat are gone. I suspect this is because I was having issues connecting to the server earlier.
Since your a long time fan, I tried changing this for you manually. Obviously we need to look into what is really going wrong though. Obviously other people have been able to set there name. It is only the top 10. We might consider adding a more button, but I am not sure we will ever show an entire leader board. If you log it with facebook, you can also get your friends leaderboard.
Still nothing. It just tells me I've bought it, but I don't get an option to download. Also there any way to 'log' back into a profile? One of the reinstalls asked me to choose a name etc again.
Thanks for letting us know about that. Perhaps others are having a similar problem. If you bought the mega pack, then you should have everything unlocked. In theory, the restore button should re download it if it isn't already on your device. If it doesn't log you back in automatically, you can try skipping the log in, then going to the profile screen, and looking for existing accounts.
Wow, those Monster Truck and Jet Car courses are really tricky... Only 4 scores on the B Jet Car track They're really fun to play though! The A Jet Car course almost felt like a flight sim. It's also pretty fun being #1 on some tracks, while player numbers are still low.
It might be worth while checking how much storage space you have. Also, have you tried a re-install followed by a restore? What about logging in and out of the store as well? Also, be patient when you try restoring, it could take a little while for the download to start. It might be that not much happens immediately, but after that the items in the store should have a download indicator on them.
