Hi there, A little more information might help to sort out the issue for you. - Do you have iCloud enabled? - Did you setup an account on the True Axis server? - If so, did you connect facebook to that account? - Have you changed server account at any point? - If you go into a track you have already completed and uploaded a score for, does the leaderboard say that you have have a score and a replay for the track or does it say that you haven't completed the track yet? [edit] Just a couple more questions - When you lost your data, was it when you first fired up the app, or was it during a play session? - When you lost your data, had you just changed any settings for things like iCloud or network connectivity?
Alright, so I managed to gather the ambition to start this game from scratch. I've relaunched the game on several occasions and it appears that the save data hasn't disappeared yet. I think the problem may have been related to the fact that I initially skipped the making of an account on the True Axis server (though I would have thought that the game save would also be stored locally). For the sake of clarity, to answer your questions: Yes, I have iCloud enabled. I set up an account on the True Axis server after losing my game save; this could have been a possible source of the problem. I didn't connect my Facebook account. I never changed the server account; I only have a singular account. All data was lost... the leaderboard showed I had no record and all my medals were gone. I lost my data the second time I launched the app (I played through about 15 levels when I first launched the app, then fired it up again about 30 minutes later to find all my progress gone ) I hadn't made any changes to network connectivity. Also, I'm not quite sure if I was actually connected to the internet during my first play of the game. Nonetheless, it didn't make much sense that the game wiped my save. The only thing I can think of is that when I made my account, the game decided to overwrite my progress. If this is so, the game should not allow users to bypass the account setup if there are such drastic consequences.
I can verify that creating a True Axis account destroys scores and replays, but not medals that have been awarded. Fortunately, I figured this out relatively early and didn't loose much. I would strongly suggest that you force the creation of an account, or, when the high scores list says "servers could not be found" add a note saying something like "create an account to save replays blabla..."
This seems like a really sound title. The positive is that the tilt controls are impeccable. The negative is that it is tilt control only. So, this one isn't for me. Have fun with it guys.
Theoretically scores should be transferred to your account when it is created. We need to go back and another another good look at this stuff to make sure it is all right.
Totally got this idea from someone on Facebook. But if in a future cheat menu I had the option for unlimited fuel where the gauge didn't even drain along with the ability to use the jet car in any level. I would have a lot of fun.
any plans for update the game to support iOS Game Center ? Game Center is quite possibly one of Apple’s most underdeveloped presences on the iOS collection.
No it's not... The next update should fix any hacking to the leaderboards. It's amazing that if humans find any exploits in anything they will use them to the max - it's built into our genetics!
As I understand it, GC challenges are an automatic function of Game Center as long as achievements and/or leaderboards are present.
@Devs: I thought the last updated fixed the issue where downloaded purchased levels didn't get deleted when the device's available memory ran low. The other day my device went below 1GB available memory (600MB I think it was) and I was tampering with the settings to see what I could delete when, all of a sudden, the downloaded levels from JCS2 got wiped and the app didn't appear in the installed apps section of the phone. I opened the app and when I tried to play one of the purchased levels I got a message similar to "Oops, there seems to be a problem with the level. Do you want to redownload?". Will this happen every time I run low on memory?
Feature request Hi I think I have come up with an awesome feature. Some sort of level up system where you earn maybe 1 point for an easy gold 3 for a medium and 5 for a hard medal. Then each maybe 10 or 20 points you level up. Your level would also be shown on the leaderboards Mtblegend
Actually, we are only planning to investigate the possibility of GC challenges at this point. Our challenges have replays attached to them, so have have to see how easily that can work with GC. It is a pity there is no way to securely use a GC id to log into our server, otherwise we would have just done it that way. So did I. I haven't heard any other complaints about people loosing those levels. The only thing I can think of is that you where already missing a particular level since before the update, and you just hadn't tried playing that level until now. We've actually thought a little about adding a system to track over all progress. You suggestion might make some kind of sense as well. We will think about it.
I was missing all of the mega pack levels before the update on my ipod touch 5th gen since i only have 600mb free, but I just tried restoring all the levels and clicking the restore button did absolutely nothing after asking for my itunes password. In other words, there's something wrong with restoring purchases.
Make sure you have on crackers in stalled or jailbreak apps, log out of the appstore, restart your phone, and try again. Also, try more then once, and have a little bit of patients after pressing the restore button. If that doesn't work, a reinstall of the app may be needed.
The version you are running should be fine, I can't think of a reason why updating would help, but you never know. Make sure you have the latest version of True Skate though. If you have any jailbreak apps, you might need to make sure they are fully uninstalled. Also make sure your internet connection is good. Can you tell me exactly how you try to download the pack, and exactly what happens?
I'm not jailbroken, and my internet connections fine. When I click the restore button nothing really happens except it asks for my password 2 or 3 times. Nothing else comes up/changes. The only thing I can think of that would limit me is the fact that I only have 500ish mb of free space, but you said that problem was fixed. EDIT: still not working with 2 gigs free. Just got a message saying "the account being saved is not a valid account type"
