Check out my course 'Remember to brake!' It forces you to learn how to control the jet car in freefall. I'm loving the jet car. Anybody else liking the jet car ?
Pssh, who needs brakes Booster > brakes. It may just be me, but I feel air brakes have much less of an effect on control than in JCS1. I think replay sharing would a nice feature (if not limited to the higher devices due to performance).
when i try to play levels with the jet car i just want to f scream and throw iphone, this car just sucks.
@Quantum Apocalypse I finally found out why you had problems downloading the Mega Pack. I can replicate your problem by having hardly any storage on a device. I tested with only around 56mb free. What happened is you purchased the Mega Pack but the download failed because you did not have enough storage on device. This meant the store was in a state where it knows you purchased but it cannot download the pack. We actually had an error message for this that failed to display... I've fixed the problem now. All that was needed to do to fix your problem was to delete some Apps or data, around 200mb and do a restore. The pack will then load in because you now have enough storage. I'm sorry you were messed around a bit. We will be doing an update soonish that will fix a few issues that became known after the release.
We are now number 2 in the US game free charts. Wow, I did not expect the game to go as high as that because of the free to play games, a nice surprise
I have free 2GB on my device. It looks like a bug as you've mentioned above. I turned off wifi and mobile data (100% offline) and everything worked well.
Out of curiosity, would you happen to have any other apps running in the background? Also, how about the back lighting of your device? Do you have it turned all the way up, or on auto?
Could freestyle replays be updated to show scores on each trick? Watching a run feels pointless without them
I'm really having fun with the editor. I have made quite a few levels now (in game name pop jam). Some people have been complaining that they can't make unique and detailed levels, however if you use reverse a lot you can manage it. I made this really cool level where you can't see the finish, however at the start if you simply go backwards you would reach it.
That is something we did do for True Skate where it was much more important. We overlooked it in JCS though. Unfortunately, it isn't that easy to add. The leaderboards will be packed out by the time we find any time to even think about doing that.
JCS2 is moving up the Top Grossing charts, #188 in the US AppStore. Looks like going the free route with multiple in-app unlocks may have been a good decision. Once people realize that the game isn't "freemium" per se, and see that this is just a try before you buy app then True Axis should be swimming in the green (depending on your countries currency the colors of your cash may vary )
Level editor Some ideas for level editor: 1. Ability to do circuits (other people have said this) 2. Ability to add short platforms as ways to shortcut (go off the original course) 3. Some way to create rails (please please please they are so fun) 4. The barriers on the sides, already said that 5. Tunnels/half-pipes/those midair quarter pipes The last three could be implemented by a special button choosing what kind of track you're driving.
Just wanted to give a shout-out to True Axis and their brilliant sequel! At first, I must admit, I was midly impressed. Didn't get the hang of the new cars, the little "bug" with the huge rocket just seemed uncontrollable. And the air-jet-plane-kind-of-thing never flew in the right direction... But I did buy the "mega pack" anyway and the more play time the more fun! Still the the old car is my favorite, but many levels adopted for the buggy or the jet is really fun! Spent far too many hours on this already.. Regarding how they solved the level editor it was really an "oooh"-moment for me. It has it's quirks, but I think it works well. I do think alot more can be done with it though. As mentioned earlier in the thread, adding barriers to the track side would be nice. Also being able to set the width of the track. Another fun thing for the level editor would be a "custom" car where the editor could set some basic physics for the car. The only thing I can really complain about is that the servers can be hard to reach.. But I guess that's a good thing, meaning that the game is popular! Thanks True Axis for another great game. It was worth the wait. I hope you release some kind of DLC in the future so I can throw some more of my money on you.
I'm having problems with the True Axis login. It says "server isn't available" or something like that. Does this happen when buying the full IAP? The free levels are great
Each time I close this app, or restart my phone, all my progress is lost. Thankfully I didn't get too far in the game so it wasn't that bad, but it is definitely a large bug that needs to be fixed. Please fix this so I don't have to play in fear of losing all of my data!
