This'll sound dumb... but is the game worth purchasing for someone who doesn't enjoy car/racing games? I'm a fan of games in general, just not of something like Gran Turismo, or Real Racing etc.
It's a bit early for me, but I had to get up and check how things are going. Looks like we missed out on a big feature in the US at this point, to the only other 2 games we seemed to be competing with, which is a bit sad because currently we have more user reviews and a higher rating, although, we have a big feature locally Australia. Honestly, I am a bit nervous about getting too many users on to our server too soon anyway. Scores should be saved off line with no connection. I've been kind of expecting the server to have issues when we get a lot of users, although, we don't have that many users yet, but there have been some odd things happening in the last hour from looking at the profile. I can't make sense of it though, I will have to do some investigating. There is no obvious cause. Things might start going a bit more nuts now though that there are some features.
Does anyone know if you can use the same trueaxis login profile on multiple devices? I don't use facebook.
All working now, apart from the leaderboards. But I can play anyway. Edit. Nvm going back to the game it's all locked out again hopefully it'll be sorted soon.
This isn't a racing game. It's a precision platformer where you control a rocket car. Not even close to the tone of GT and RR or even arcade racers like Asphalt Most similar game is probably Trackmania on PC, but honestly I like JCS better than Trackmania
Awesome game. Was playing on iPad Air and decided to install to my phone also. I bought the mega pack and unlocked on both devices but I'm assuming there is no way of synching my progress between devices right now? Seemed the first set of free levels was all unlocked on phone but none of the further ones are (and no medals) and the # number after my username I retyped to phone is different so guess there's no way it knows it's me on phone? If not guess I will delete from phone to save any conflicts.
I'm loving the game but has the mystery been solved as to why my medals aren't being saved? I bought the mega pack btw. I play offline when I play. I've exited the game and even went as far as to reboot my iPad Air but whenever I complete one track the medal is there until I close the game . After starting again, the medal is gone.
You need to be using the same user on each device. There may be a problem if you create a new user on the login screen on the second device. We might need to smooth the process out for second devices, but if you go into the profile screen and swap accounts so they are the same you might get syncing. Did you skip the log in?
Ah I see - that ACCOUNTS button with black text on white background didn't look like a button but I should have guessed as it's the same design as PROFILE button. That fixed it and medals synch. Thanks!!
Wow is this awesome...and harder than hell. It's been a long time since I played the first one but don't remember the "flight" portions being so difficult. But I love it!
I think there was just generally less aerial control with the individual car. I wonder if there is a cheats menu like the first, I liked the canary I gave it a night before reinstalling, and the mega pack finally downloaded, but my profile/account menu is now empty of my previous accounts (which happened to make it through past installations). Any chance of retrieval?
It actually occurred to me that just about the only criticism I can level at this game, is not to do with any part of the gameplay at all, but in fact with the general "logic" of the whole presentation/communication/UI design, as appears evident from the confusion it's causing in a number of areas. It makes me wonder whether you guys have a person specifically dedicated to such tasks, or as more often happens it just falls to "whomever". (As things such as writing and storyboard often do as well.) It's just a shame, because this is precisely the sort of stuff that can hurt you by creating misinformation and confusion. The only reason I point it out though, is due to the contrast in attention to detail displayed elsewhere.
I experience the same problem with medals (already purchased Mega-pack). I dont think that correct logging into profile will fix the problem. Overall behaviour when loading progress is very chaotic and stressfull for me. Few examples: 1) Same profile - Losing whole progress. I am not able to load my progress. 2) Different profile - If you just swipe the race (not click/choose) the current medal sometimes appear. 3) Different profile/Same profile - Sometimes when I choose the race all medals are available. Pls fix it. Btw: great game but this is really annoying!
There are no cheats as of yet. If you deleted your accounts from iCloud, then they are lost. Since you are a long time fan, If you make a new account, I might possibly be able to do a manual server hack for you to swap it with our old account. Best way to secure an account is to use facebook. It actually did go through quite a few iterations. It was carefully thought out, but things always change during development, and there are always things you realise you forgot, or there are technical reasons why your perfect design has to be changed, or that work different in practice then on paper. Some of the menus are quite cluttered because we wanted to let people get into the game quickly with a few clicks. I think the biggest issue causing confusion is accounts not properly automatically syncing between devices and account bugs. Loosing progress sucks. I thought this should be reasonably safe if you are using iCloud and stick to the one JCS2 account. If you keep loosing your progress it might be worth deleting everything, even iCloud stuff and trying again. I'd also be interested to know how much space you have free on your device?
Requiring facebook for log in is dodgy imo. Why is my gamecenter not enough? Edit: well i didnt read clear i guess.
