I found the first Jet Car Stunts too hard to control. This one however, I can finally control the vehicle. I did not have trouble getting gold on the free tracks. I came very close to placing in the top 10 on the leaderboards in these. You have to time your jets right, drift, and aim your car/jet in the right angles to optimize speed and control. Hold the jets on straight-aways, let off a bit before landing, and deploy the wings or whatever they are called to slowdown if you are coming in too fast to land so you dont crash. I find timing of jets, precision landing, drifting around corners, take it slower at times on tough corners, etc... to increasing your times and scores.
Crash when trying to purchase Hi I greatly enjoyed the first game so I did not play for long before deciding to purchase. However whenever I try to buy the Mega Pack the game crashes to the home screen! This is on an iPad 3 and iOS 6.0.1. The game seems to run fine otherwise but I can't buy it. EDIT: Sorry I read through some of the older posts and it was def something to do with other jailbreak apps which I have now removed. I was able to buy the Mega Pack after all! Please ignore the above if it is a known issue.
Thanks for this information We actually use the Apple servers to verify the IAP before the DLC can be downloaded. I suspect Apple actually check for these Jailbroken Apps to stop piracy and such. In these cases we cannot do anything about the Packs not downloading and my advice is to do what Socky advised.
Ok, tried game even if it's tilt - only or with controller and its definitely playable, can't imagine to play it for a longer time with heavier Ipad, but with Ipad Mini Retina i have it's fine.
I'm glad people can finally enjoy the experience of JCS As these iDevices get more powerful, accelerometers become more responsive... the original had tight controls but there was always a bit of lag but the newer devices are making lag less of a problem, which in turn make the controls even better. Plus the physics have been tweaked as well. But all in all I'm seeing feedback from users that did not get on with the first game and really enjoy the second!
Loved the original. It was challenging but gratifying. Buying for $4.99 with no hesitation. Would have rather a $4.99 game with a separate trial version.
Thanks, I didn't see that. That'll help a lot. This is exactly the same but I think it just makes it so people don't pirate it by unlocking it with IAP. Which is for the best. I bought it in a flash.
Wow. If you watch some of the replays on the leaderboards it's like people are already professional jet car drivers. They must have had the first game. I'm totally horrible at this game.
Has anyone who was against tilt in the beginning of the thread tried the game yet? I'm curious to see what they think
People who played the first game are already in the right mindset and look for shortcuts instead of following the tracks
Wait till you see these players find the short cuts on the tracks. Been involved with the original I was totally blown away when I saw how creative these players were when we implemented the replay system in the first one. I cannot wait for the shortcuts to be found in the sequel And for sure there is no way people can cheat our leaderboards, especially with the replays!
Made two levels: Controlled Descent and Gravitational Disrespect (Think I spelled Gravitational wrong in the name, can we rename tracks?) Both are not very advanced and probably not very good compared to other tracks since I'm still improving my editor skills. Two questions: - Both tracks have author as "Unknown" but my profile name is Bronxsta. Is there a way to fix that? - Once you create a track, and select Upload, is it public for everyone to play? I noticed on the user content menu, my tracks say "Uploaded" while the rest are labeled "On server"
im confused, in the settings, what are 1st check reset and restart on reset? say if i wanted to restart on reset only if it is the before the 1st checkpoint which do i have on or off? so if im after the first checkpoint and reset it shouldnt restart and if it is before then restart. also, does the mega pack dlc ($4.99) give access to everything i.e. all the other dlcs included or not?
You need to Upload the level you create to the server and then your name will show and the track will be for public use. The Upload button is in the Leaderboard screen below track type. Just press it and it will go to the server. Once uploaded, to see your name, just go back the the level select screen and select your track again. As for re-editoring the track name that will be in a future update
