Canis: I6-F4 is not legal. For one thing, you're moving from a light square to a dark square, which can never happen with a diagonal jammer move. It doesn't matter if someone else has previously suggested your favorite move. You can still suggest it for a promo code, or any of the contests. ~Doug
cathy: a code is in your PM Canis: I6-F5 still not legal! Check out Jamzu Free to get a handle on the rules. Best, ~Doug
I submitted a new move in post #14. I think it's legal. I've been playing the free version. Good game BTW!
Thanks to TheSporkWithin, we are adding a new rule clarification. For the "Jamzu Move Champion" contest only, we will accept private move lists from all contestants. You can send us your list via PM or email, and it will be kept private until the winners are announced. Then it will be published. Reminder: If there are multiple lists submitted of the same moves, we will draw randomly for the winner. If you are participating in the Jamzu Move Champion Contest, you are allowed to keep *all* of your suggested moves private. Just make sure you get your list, with your reason for each move, submitted to us before the deadline of 12pm Eastern Time Thursday Feb 18. Thanks for playing Jamzu! ~Doug
Quick question, Doug. Do you want a PM each day, or can we keep our list for the whole week and then give you the list on the last day? And, can our current move still be included for the Move Champion competition if we've already posted it publicly?
Hi CzarCastic, Yes, you did submit a legal move in #14! Code on the way! Your current move can be included in your private move list, and you can submit the list on the last day, as long as it is before the deadline of 12pm Eastern, Feb 18th. Best, ~Doug
Woo thanks.. I was hoping I had how the moves could go. Neat game.. I look forward to playing more and learning.
Hi all, Again, just to clarify: For the random drawing contest, you must post your moves in this thread. You can post your moves any time before the end of the contest. For the Jamzu Move Champion 2010 contest, you can post your moves here, or keep them entirely private and send via email or PM. Either way, for the Jamzu Move Champion contest, your moves must include at least a short reason for each move. Also, as this progresses, please keep a running list of your moves in your posts (unless you are submitting everything privately for the Jamzu Move Champion contest). Thanks everybody! ~Doug
Hi seang, No problem! Just have a complete move list by the end of the contest, you will be entered to win at least the random drawing contest. Best, ~Doug
Hi all, If you are playing for the Jamzu Move Champion contest, here's a hint: don't assume that any moves you see posted by the other contestants are potentially the best moves. If you are playing for the Jamzu Move Champion contest, and you submit your list to us privately, only the moves on your private list will be taken as the ones you choose for the contest. Cheers, ~Doug
POSITION TWO is up! A couple of notes. I added a rule about individual participation in the contests. Basically, this is an individual entry contest (although you may have helpers). No team entries will be accepted. Also, only the first five legal moves each day, for that days position, will get promos. I won't be commenting on which moves are legal until the first five legal moves have been submitted, and the promos sent out. Remember, even if it is a legal move, it won't necessarily be good enough for the final contests! Final contest moves must actually make some sense. I will always post all positions both in the first post, and each day here in the thread. Thanks everybody! Have fun! ~Doug POSITION ONE Red to move with a six. POSITION TWO Red to move with a five.
