Touch Arcade is a great website, but it lacks one thing: A proper jailbreaking forum. This could easily be fixed though, I propose making sub-forums in Jailbreaking and Installer Apps: 1. Themes Sub forums: WIP Releases Help/Tutorials Requests 2. Jailbreaking Help/Questions Sub forums: 3.1.3 jailbreak Jailbreak clients 3. Jailbroken App Releases 4. iPhone/iPod Touch Mods 5. Emulators If Touch Arcade adds these forums, it would attract an even greater audience than it currently has! NO FLAMING!
Have you tried ipodtouchfans.com? That's a good site for jailbreaking, I'd personally like to keep it separate from TA. Too many newbs on IpTF join just to ask how can I pirate this or that. You can't go a day on that site without the constant bannings because of that. I'm afraid that would happen on TA. Sure they could just ban them or give out infractions, but it still gets annoying after awhile. It's one of the main reasons I don't visit that site that often...well that plus the large amount of jerks on that site. Just my opinion though, no problem with jailbreaking. I'm jailbroken myself.

Well it's not illegal. Apple WANTS it to be illegal. Pirating IS illegal. I'm a jailbreaker, but I don't pirate. I don't even know how.
Yea..lets. Ok, so been lately interested in just what jailbreaking is all about. what are the benefits? Cons? Is it safe (won't get a disease will I?) Free?.....honest answers please. and just a small summary would suffx me. Think will research this a bit. Checked into it way back when devs were working on jb the 2nd Gen Touch but hadn't yet. I have 3.1.3. vers. so can't do 0.9.4, need earlier version for this: The iPhone Dev-Team has just released redsn0w 0.9.4 to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G (No unlock for 3G), iPod touch 1G and iPod touch 2G (older Non-MC models only). Do not update to iPhone 3.1.3 firmware yet if you want to preserve your unlock for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch 2G (new models) and iPod touch 3G. This is because the new iPhone 3.1.3 firmware updates baseband to 05.12.01 on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G which makes it impossible to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 3GS and 3G. And: The iPhone DevTeam has just confirmed that their newly released jailbreaking tool called redsn0w 0.9.3 can be used to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 2G on firmware 3.1.3, provided that you have jailbroken it previously at least once. ---------------------------------- Never had mine broke and don't want to gamble setting my Touch back to the earlier version for fear of wiping out hard earned/won/scores on games.
