I wont mater which character you are because you can change their stats, so it is basically whoever you like the best. If you are dying a lot you can customize your character with more health. Make sure to do the lion puzzle before you go to the beach as you will get a nice stat boost from completing it.

Ice shots should be easy to dodge as they are very slow. Strafe left and right slowly closing the gap. Also keep dawnstar in support mode so she replenishes your chi then retreat and use chi heal when you take damage.

Jade Empire, on my phone and ipad with near seamless cloudsaving= awesome!! i haven't played this since the xbox original and preordered it (loved all bioware stuff from mdk and balders gate onwards)

it is a little tricky in the combat but ive found the best offence is to frequently dodge and attack when they are at the end of theirs!! took a few attempts to win on the beach but stick with it and you will succeed##

I also signed up for being interested in KOTOR2 when they first asked for those interested to register their email address. KOTOR2 is one of the group of about 5 or 6 games that i could ever be bothered to see though to the very end and i would snap it up instantly if Aspyr were to release it, i think Jade Empire is cheaper to licence though and may be a trial to see if its worth releasing now everything (well almost everything) is free to d/load, i tend to snap all these premium games up and i would second also seeing dragon age on ios too

I found that untill i realised each enemy has a certain weakness, like the humans, the sword works awesome and cuts them down no problem and so far with the spirits normal hand to hand combat works better. Im at a stage where more strategy comes into play and u can also use your surroundings in some cases. Loving this far and only scratched rge surface so to speak as only about 5 hours in!
I am playing with my steel stratus series, the mini, and sometimes the game crashes where my pad becomes unresponsive? Other then that runs seamlessley on air 2 on max settings, it is an absolute gem of a game. Cant wait to see which port comes next from aspyr cuz so far kotor, farenheit and jade empire are in my top 10 best gaming experiences on ios of all time, and that from one dev! Gotta love these guys!! #

    iOS 8 Support?

What are the odds that the developers would support iOS 8?

Yeah, Dodging is KEY... And leveling up your damage, health, and Chi...

It's truly a lovely game. One of the VERY BEST I've played probably since... Dead Space on IOS.

If your one who has been fiending for a console exp. on your phone, this is IT!

I'm playing on an iPhone 6 and love it. I like touch controls so those aren't a problem for me. And Aspyr has made sure we can read everything. Great design.

My problem is not touch control, but if the game is too cramped and the text too small.

If not, that's great to hear!

    Thanks!

For anyone who's still on the fence about playing Jade Empire, there is one man who will make this entire game worth your time: Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom the Magnificent Bastard.

    Yes, really. Trust me.

Not trying to be disrespectful - but please stop ruining story elements for newcomers to the series.

    @Aspyr Media

Using iPad mini 4 and iPhone 6+

Logged an insane amount of hours already. 35hrs or more. Both Long sessions and quick burst sessions.

    TOUCH CONTROLS:
Not as reactive. Some lag going on between my input and character reaction. (Not a frequent but close enough to touch the barrier of frequent) I've noticed this during both multiple characters on screen and just single character. Also, some strict gesture systems add to this. What I mean by this, if I accidentally swipe slightly diagonally across (instead of straight line across) game does not register it. Character won't move. Need some swiping leeway here, especially when intensity drives up. This also occurs in expert mode.

    LAYOUT:
Allow us to move the area where you've placed the 4 way style switch. My thumb, during heavy action sequences slides up there. I've been playing Soul Calibur and Monster Hunter (both on iOS) and I play both using the touch controls. What I'm saying, my muscle memory is very well trained in constrained placement. Your style switcher is too close to the thumb traffic area. To accommodate different thumb sizes, allows us access to at our discretion move it further up (or down). LOVE EXPERT mode. Shit is slick!

    MINI GAMES: (FIGHTING MINI GAMES??)
I'm not feeling the 2d airplane games (this is subjective though) That said, may you add a practice area for us that want to hone our fighting styles/technique outside story mode? Think, quick pick up and play session where attention can't be put into story.

An area where we can choose the amount of enemies to fight against. Or more interesting, as we progress in story mode whatever we unlock in there we unlock in the practice area (new enemies, new styles, allies... etc). Or, if that's too dev intensive, then give us everything unlocked in this mode so we may do as we please from there.

***It's rather annoying, that I have to keep reloading saves from previous fights, just to get my quick fighting sessions in.***

This is a fighting game, a thoughtful/tactful fighting game at that. Please give us a quick pick up and play fighting arena mode. Let us have an area outside story to master styles so we can play as superstars in story.

    IN CLOSING:
Aside from these personal issues. Classic game! Solid development here! If become rich, I'm buying you guys - I have some ideas for your expertise. On a wishful thinking note: Multiplayer would be insane for JE. Would be nice and challenging after the OP shit gets equalized. Thanks for bringing this classic to iOS guys. Love you for this man! Nuff Respect! I will always support you guys.

With all due respect, this is a port of Jade Empire. I wouldn't hold out on any new content. If a remastered version ever hits (consoles, definitely not mobile) maybe new modes, etc. could be implemented.
