Anyone try this one out?
No link, no pictures, no video.
i liked sentinel, good company, so i'd imagine this would be good as well.
i might make the leap later tonight, I should be doing homework.
If you do, don't forget to post some initial impressions.
no problem, will do.
reminds me of that thing that used to piss me off at fairs and carnivals, trying to move the ring on that twisty metal thing. then it would shock you, gotta wonder if that was healthy, i remember my balls having a certain tingle to them after being zapped.
Ok, so you have to keep the little smokey line thing within the ring? I don't get the gameplay at all.
I don't think I want to touch that one.
i didn't want you to touch them anyways.
Touche my electroshocked friend.
Well, so much for iWire
it'll get bought tonite, and I'll have something up for you guys then.
i put that in my signature haha
iWire has 3 rules
You MUST talk about the wire
Tilt left & right to move
DON 'T touch the wire
The screenshots imply you hold the machine horizontally because of the way the highscores are written. You don't - you hold it vertically so cannot see your score / multiplier.
The 'wire' is the fuzzy line and the controls are tilt only, no touch. The wire moves left/right, you tilt. If you partly touch the wire it changes to a copper/red colour at that point giving you a moment to get things right.
3 levels and you need to pass each to progress. I'm sure on Easy it helps you by moving the ring (which is annoying when you also go to move that way and it adds both actions)
I think score is time based. Multiplier? No idea.
Sound can be on/off. BGM is okay, the robotic voice grated.
You cannot calibrate.
I bought it less than an hour ago and it'll be deleted in a minute.
The gameplay is simple: tilt the ring left/right to keep it inside the wire (which is a ray, not a metal). It's a Scoops alike game.
There are 3 difficulty modes and Hard is locked.
Graphics and sounds are really good.
Online high score available "ala" Sentinel.
Easy is, well, very easy. Medium starts easy but gets tricky after 50%. I was able to reach 69% only so far.
All in all, it's a polished pick up and play game that will challenge you until you beat Hard mode or you get tired trying it. 3/5+.
I don't think this game got the attention it deserves. Sure it's simple, but it's done well, and every aspect of it is great. The graphics, hypnotizing sound effects, and online high scores keep me playing this. Plus it loads pretty quickly, and has a very cool icon
Holy shit, it's free now!
This is a must, it's actually really well made.
wow looks really cool, thx for the vids!
