I used to be a lazy fatass that drank a LOT of beer, however one day something snapped and I finally started giving a crap. I was tired of being that "big guy" and set out around september to change things. At that time I was around 31+ BMI, I can now officially report in that I am a healthy 19.8. How did I do it, I gave up the crap...

I don't drink but on special occasions, I go to the gym, I practice BJJ, boxing, and other combat sports, but the most important thing was watching what I ate. I keep a log of everything I eat, and that has been my saving grace. I use a website called dailyburn.com they have an awesome iphone app as well. After my experiences my dad has started using daily burn and in less than 2 weeks he has lost 9 pounds...He hasn't exercised or anything.

Now just imagine if you did what he did, and a little exercising, you could be ready for the beach in the summer. It really doesn't take much I now run 5k everyday, and honestly when I say it, IF I CAN DO IT, ANYONE CAN.

We are all in the same boat we love video games, tv, and beer but please don't be what I was. I didn't realize how much differently I looked until I found this old picture...Less than 6 months of hard work and you can live a healthy life. I did it without anything besides whey protein isolate, no pills or fatloss crap, and I never skipped meals I just know what to eat and what not to eat. If anyone has any questions or wants help maybe with an exercise or nutrition I will be glad to help. Pm me or start a fitness thread, I am now a strength and conditioning coach for a high school, I don't do it for the money, I do it because I want people to feel good about themselves, like I do now.

If you feel the need to talk crap, which I am sure one asshole will, just realize I will ignore you because I will end up hurting your feelings, you can not talk crap, on the crap talking master.

Why would you post this on an iPod/iPhone gaming site? It's a serious question. I don't understand.

Thanks sid, if you need some help let me know. I honestly think just one day it snaps when your ready your ready. Just like the people that want to stop drinking, they have to want to do it, then you can get all the advice in the world, but until you find that inner strength then it just won't happen. but if you need help setting out a plan or whatnot let me know.

Love ya' man...in a hetero way.

Seriously, the easiest way is to give up on the sodas and switch to water or juice. That will cut 10 pounds off in a year. Plus, try lifting weights such as dumbbells. I do all of this along with daily walks around my office neighborhood, and it does wonders. You can move to heavy duty stuff later, but start small.

Even though I use "big" in my user name, that actually doesn't apply to my weight. I'll let your imagination runaway with that one ;)

everyone has that one thing that they need to change, be it drugs, alcohol, whatnot.... this was my "one thing" I used to snore like a lumberjack, since losing weight, I don't anymore there are just so many things that have come as result of it.....
