Is anyone else facing issues with the itunes store?

When i try to download any app (even free) directly from my ipad the icon appears and immediately disappears from the springboard.

When trying to access my account info via iTunes, it gives me an Error 5002 ;/

Is anyone else also facing this?

Yep - same problem I'm having. At first I thought it was my firewall since I had to do a hard reset on it the other day which set it back to default settings, but then I remembered I had downloaded an app after that. I also can't get apps to download through my iphone through my 3G connection.

I think Apple's having a problem. Also on their website under "support" after logging with my iTunes account there is a message saying their server is down for maintenance.

Hope they didn't get hacked into like PSN did lately...

I get the disappearing-icon error on my iPhone, but my iTouch and iPad download stuff fine. It may or may not be relevant that the iPhone is on iOS 4.3 and the other two are on 4.3.3.

It seems like the problem has been fixed (At least on the Computer version of iTunes, not sure about iTunes on the iDevices.)
