Sorry if this has been talked about recently, but I really did do a search before posting this. It seems that lately (can't determine if it's been more so with the last update or not), iTunes has been locking up on me at least once a day. Unfortunately, a lot of times it seems to be when I'm trying to download a purchase from the App Store. It also always seems to be when I have Outlook open. This is on a Windows XP home box running Outlook 2002.

Close Outlook? I dunno. Do all of your purchasing on your iPhone. And that should be persistently, or something. It doesn't seem very consistent.

Closing Outlook won't work because I use both that and iTunes quite frequently. Purchasing on my device (actually an iPod) won't work either, because I'm already constantly juggling what I'm going to upload to my device, so I don't want to have to purchase directly on my device and then download to my iTunes and then delete from my device. Too much hassle. By consistent I meant that it's at least a daily event, as opposed to once every couple of weeks or something. Thanks for the thoughts, though.

Are you running iTunes 8.1? If not, then download that. Since you're obviously a developer, download the latest iTunes beta and see if that works.

I'm running 8.1.0.51. As for the beta, where might I get that? I checked under the downloads section after logging in on my ADC account and couldn't find anything, and I also didn't see anything at the normal page for iTunes (not that I would have expected it there).
