I have a Macbook Pro, and for what it's worth, the app library page is slow on mine too. I really don't know why it has to be so slow. On all the library pages (Music, Movies etc) there is a slight jerkiness about the scrolling the first time you scroll down your library, as it is adding the artwork to each item as it goes down. Like I said, the app page is for some reason slower than the rest. But after that it is silky smooth.
simple reason for this really, Apple want you to buy a Mac, so they create iTunes for windows that sucks, so you go on-line and read about how great it in on a macinstosh. I use it all the time on my Macbook Pro, not a single problem, ever & I have 5000 songs, 90 + movies and 15+ TV shows, on a mac iTunes is flawless!!
