Let's start. Anyone remember BattleDuty: ModernField 3? They even made a soundtrack in the music section of iTunes. Got that too lol. I had it, still do. Haven't deleted it yet. Pretty funny game. The reviews were hilarious for it. There was even an option to turn off the graphics lol 1st video doesn't have sound. 2nd video does have sound. They are 2 different videos.
the one that annoyed me the most was probably flatspace it was a pretty good spaceship based trader game that played from a top down down asteroids kind of view. It was actually pretty deep and challenging and you had full control of taking jobs who to work for whether to take to a life of crime or join the good guys. No idea why it was removed.
Oh I still have that. Ancient but deep game. I've just resumed my game for the first time since October 2010 ! Lol. If I get chance I might email the devs. Maybe it's removal means a new version is coming or something. (Ever the optimist !)
With regards to Flatspace I found this post on the devs website :- http://www.lostinflatspace.com/ Flatspace iPhone 1 May 2011 I've had a few reports that Flatspace iPhone is no longer in the app store. I'm mot sure if this is a transient problem or a permanent one. Wisp Games are reponsible for all aspects of the iPhone game. I've contacted them about the issue and am awaiting a reply. Hmm that was in 2011 so it doesn't look like it will be coming back anytime soon. You can play flatspace 2 on a PC if you wish though. I think you buy it from the website.
There was an app called iClouds back when the app store just came out. It was a really awesome simulator where you flew through clouds using the accelerometer. It was removed quite a while ago (apple probably paid them to remove it or something because of 'iCloud') but the graphics still hold up today despite it not being retina.
The first (I think) emulator that was released, Nescaline http://toucharcade.com/2009/12/21/nes-emulator-nescaline-released-on-the-app-store/ I wanted that so bad, but I didn't have time to get a iTunes Giftcard. Made me cry manly tears
