Skip the backup. You really don't need it unless something goes wrong. Press the little x in the iTunes status bar that reads your information, syncing and stuff.
That doesn't look good. I got error 2002 when I tried updating. I restored and it said it installed iOS4, but I don't know for sure. It has been synching for over an hour adding back all my stuff.
Wow... My internet is running fine. My computer is running fine. Everything is going really quick right now..... Except downloading the update. It's been going for 2 hours and it still has an hour left. Server overloaded? Geez...
Yes it is. http://modmyi.com/forums/iphone-news/706912-iphone-os-4-0-jailbreak-released.html Surprising I'd know this when I don't even jailbreak, and you probably do jailbreak. A few people I'm following on twitter have jailbroken 4.0, and the only complaint they've had is that iBooks doesn't seem to work. So ha!
*lol* took me almost 2 and a half hour to download and now its not updateing without a backup beforehand. This seems to take even longer than the download. I cannot resist the gravity thats pulling my eyes down. crawling to bed. Good night, tomorrow will the update be finished (I hope )
How long is it taking everyone to download it and back it up? It took me 6 minutes to download the update itself, but the back-up process (backing up from scratch) looks like it's going to take 5 hours. How 'bout you guys?
Woah so I have a 2gen iPod touch and when I double-click the home button nothing happens and the option to set a lock pic or background pic isn't avaliable to me in the wall paper settings. My iPod is pretty full so could a lack of memory be causing these problems. I have iOS 4 installed. Even before iOS 4 I couldn't bring up iPod controls.
