It's out: iOS4

Haven't noticed anything yet. Though my iPhone almost drained 1% a minute before the update too, so I'm not the person to ask.

iBooks is also available as a universal app now!

 

I might need to download it just for ibooks

 

Did anyone get error 2002 when they tried to update? I did and it said unable to update due to an unknown error (2002) and then it made me restore my iPod... I did a backup before this happened, will I get all of my save data back?

 

I bet I'll spend hours figuring out how to organize my folders in a good way (categorizing apps, and what about the apps that don't really belong to a certain category? and so on...). Afterwards I'll probably take a few minutes just mindlessly scrolling through the pages and looking at the folders. Then, I'm gonna test some of the apps on my phone (let's hope they all still work).

 

Does anyone else notice that the WiFi bar goes up and down. And at one point, it went from the lowest signal to the highest signal when my iPod is right next to the WiFi. Must be a bug.

It has been backing up... FOR 2 HOURS. Still on the 3rd Bar.

 

Just be patient mate. If you rarely sync your iPhone/Touch with iTunes, it may take a long while to make a backup.

Can the iPhone 3G use a picture as a background image?

 

Battery life is excellent for me. I think that 4.0 handles battery life better than my 3.1.2 iPhone 3GS actually and I'm using it like crazy with multitasking.
