I haven't listened to the audio yet, but that touch gen article says available for all 3 devices (iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone) today. Maybe it'll hit overnight?

Looks like level 12 is the free to play cap. Any beta testers know the actual level cap by chance?

I didn't reach it -- but we had our characters deleted at one point to reset the dungeon level system.

Was it well above 12? I'm just trying to judge how much content you get before you start paying. If the level cap is 50, then they cap you pretty early.

I'm sure it's way higher, but it'll take you a while to get to level 12. What you pay for, by the way, is dungeons/missions; it's not like there's a monthly fee after level 12. Level 12 is the highest level for the first dungeon.

Hmm...so you pay for dungeons/missions? Is it like one time DLC type charges for access to new dungeons?

Exactly. You can also pay to customize the look of your character, or if you want certain loot without earning it through adventuring (that one will probably be the most controversial aspect of the system, but since there's no PvP, I don't think it makes that much of a difference).

Any idea on price of dungeons? I'd rather play for loot vs. pay for it, and since its not a PvP game, it really doesn't matter what others do. Sounds to me like the only thing I care to pay for is the additional leveling/dungeon content.

When we tested it was in the $1-$3 range (I think -- the beta test ended a few weeks ago), but I don't know what they settled on. Not very expensive.

Not bad. Based on what I've seen it looks like you might end up spending $10-20 for the full range of dungeons. The touchgen interview made it seem like multiple dungeons/missions will come in each pack, so there shouldn't be too many. Definitely a good price.

I just had a thought. From the articles posted and the interview on Touchgen, it seems like the developer fully expected this to a simultaneous release on all three devices, not just the iPad.

If you listen to interview, you can tell they expect this to be out on the mobile devices, not just the iPad. There's been a lot of speculation taht Apple has been holding up apps pending approval that have iPad versions coming out, and unless this game hits the app store soon, I think it's definitely the case. I'm sure the developer will be upset if this game isn't released on the iPhone within the next 12 hours or so.

iPhone is really short of a mmorpg contender. Games like Pocket Legends and IMO just isn't right. Is this going to take 3 years to get completed or it was just a one time play up screenshot for branding?

So everyone went talking about pocket legends, a game which I hate, let's get back on to this game.

Has this game been canned or what?
