Hey guys, I have a new app that just hit the store called iSpoof Walken. I figured this is the right forum to post about it since it's not technically a game... but it's way more entertaining than just an "app". The original idea behind iSpoof Walken was that we wanted to make an awesome original soundboard app, but we didnt want to do the usual screen-full-of-buttons like youll find in most soundboards. So we came up with the idea of presenting it in a scene like youd find in an old-school Adventure Game you can literally click on anything in the room and Mr. Walken will tell you 3 or 4 different crazy and hilarious stories about each object. There are 25 different interactive objects and over 150 unique lines. Theres even a magic 8-ball: touch it, ask a question and shake the iPhone/iPad to hear Walkens response. App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store. Let me know what you think!
Holy cow, this is hilarious! Sure, the amount of time you can spend on it is somewhat limited due to the nature of the app, but there is a pretty large amount of stuff in here. Probably a lot more than the similar Samuel Jackson app, and I'd say it's going to be a lot of fun showing it off to friends which will extend the appeal. The guy doing the Walken impression is really good, by the way. This is the part I was worried about, but it's one of the best, if not the best, Walken impressions I've heard. And the writing is great too--"I only let things made from endangered animals touch my hands." Wow. I spent a good 10 minutes laughing out loud with this thing, excellent work. 5/5 stars. Only thing I could see as an improvement would be to add some of his classic movie lines, but I'm not sure how the copyright rules work with things like that.
Hey medianotzu, thanks for the kind words! I'll pass on your feedback to Kris, the actor who did the voice. For sure we wanted to add some classic lines but we're already worried about copyright issues. As it stands we're safe under parody laws, but I'm not sure parody would cover use of movie lines. I see a lot of soundboards out there that blatantly rip actual voice lines from movies and TV. I wonder how they get away with that.
