Hey everyone! I'm working on a life simulation game called IslandCamper (just a working title, I haven't yet decided on a final title). Here's a first trailer: You start a new life on a deserted island with only a few tools and a couple of seeds to grow and harvest crops. Over time, you earn money by farming, catching bugs and fishing in order to purchase decorations for your island. The game includes daily tasks and a variety of NPCs that visit your island every now and then. Moreover, there is a weather system and the game is tied to the system clock, so plants grow in real time and the day-and-night cycle is dependent on your clock. Every day, there are new collectibles to find around the island and additionally, there are some long term goals such as obtaining the ability to dig up the water-tiles and place them somewhere else. This unlocks the second half of the island. As of right now, the game still lacks a lot of features but I'd like to share a video of it as I would appreciate to get some feedback. Thanks
Thanks I should mention that it's not really a survival game, but more about designing and creating. It does have features like farming, though.
Different isn’t bad and I’ve got 3 rabid gamers in my house willing to give it a try. A life simulator doesn’t sound like a bad idea with the current state of things. This could be a welcome distraction.
Hey everyone! Here's a short clip of what decorating and designing your island looks like: It's only one aspect of the game, but one of my favourites!
Hey everyone! I've been working on improving the visuals. Most of all, the lighting and the weather effects have been reworked. Here are two screenshots: What do you think about them?
To make farming easier, I've implemented sprinklers that can water your plants. What do you think about it? Do you like the game's look/atmosphere?
This has a very nice style. My daughter will go nuts for it, I guarantee it. This sort of thing is right up her street.
