Hi! My app, iShabbat, which is an app to light Shabbat candles, just got listed on iTunes. You use a match, which you light on a matchbook, to light the candles, and then have a selection of five Shabbat songs to play in the background while the candles burn, which do so in real-time. Good question, but no...for those who are secular and go out on Friday nights or just don't have Shabbat candlesticks, many people still want to feel like they are participating in an important tradition and this is just one opportunity to do so.
