Video demonstration would be really ground-breaking (don't mean to be mean, just my way to request video)
Actually the contest is still running until about 6pm, so I can't answer that question yet. If you have a guess, go ahead and enter it at http://www.toykite.com There will be 10 winners of $10 iTunes gift certificates. And for sure, most of them will be won by Touch Arcade members. Thanks for your help. I have a feeling that we will be taking you up on your offer. Doug Hogg Touch Arcade
I have been authorized to say, "No, it is NOT a puzzle game." We will have a video here very soon after the iPhone Launch Party. Doug Hogg Toy Kite Software
Hi VeganTnT, Glad you had fun with iSamurai during beta-testing. And thank you for the great beta-testing feedback. We have already implemented many of your suggestions in an update which is going to come out any day (hopefully today!). And we are already working on another update to implement your other suggestions, along with ideas from other testers. Doug Hogg Toy Kite Software
The main reason for no video yet is that we were asked to premier iSamurai at Touch Arcade's iPhone Launch Party tonight at 8PM in San Francisco. We will be heading to a friend's place to post a video shortly after midnight. Doug Hogg Toy Kite Software
Brilliant idea, I hope you will still be able to perform such a task by the end the party is over! jk I only just realised this is the game of the famous dojo pic! Great to hear you bothered to turn the swords around, I've been a bit overwhelmed with the number of great games in the past few days, but I can feel the "new game" rush again!
I think every dev thinks that before the release... and I trust vegantTnt as a betatester. If it does disappoint, not a problem, plenty of other games to keep ourselves busy... But other than that the standard of most games is beginning to rise across the genres. My advice: a "sensible price" will soften our disposition!
Oh my ego sense is tingling Once you find out what kind of game it is, and hopefully the video shows you it in action, you'll know right away if it's a game you'll like.
Did you see the demo of the livefire playthough on Slide to Play? If the video is from the party you would have to be able to focus on the game and the person playing it. The iphone 3g doesn't have autofocus to capture that (if you had it jailbroken to even take video since it's a 3G s feature) My assumption being that the video isn't already done. Otherwise they could upload the video to their website and just post a link here for us. There wouldn't be a need to upload.
iSamurai video is up For a video, see http://isamuraiapp.com PC Users: Sorry for the screen layout -- working on it. iSamurai: Two-Player Sword Fight is now on iTunes and on sale for $.99. Doug Hogg Toy Kite Software
