- Please use a descriptive title ("Help" is not descriptive)
im ignoring this thread.
I changed it.
I heard a rumor here that it's not gone forever. I'm not sure why it got pulled though. It might just be a screw up like with Smack Boxing. It got pulled by accident by Apple.
I'm sorta brand new to this whole forum thing "superbad" so sooooorry
thanks notyou! i'll remember not to do that in the future ....and ignore posts by "superbad".....
It just occured to me the game may have been taken off for the very mild adult content in it. If you've played the game, you know what I'm talking about.
I can tell you right now that the game was fun before SimCity was out. But, I think SimCity is definitely much more worth the money than VV.
oh gawd lol. you don't even hear them boning down : D
and pami, have you already purchased the game ?
You know how Apple is. Good ol' Apple... haha
actually i don't haha
i have been using PC computers for all my life. it took all my willpower to purchase my ipod touch
maybe the feminists got to apple. Afterall, the women on virtual village must dedicate ALL their time to their baby :O the only thing they can do is pick up messages in a bottle
You should know how Apple is even if you've downloaded 10 apps.
They aren't as strict with their computers/iPods as they are with the App Store.
By the way, I used to use PC. They had 'em at school and I used them for years. My dad uses Linux and Windows for work and Mac at home. He loves Linux but he sticks with Mac and now our whole family uses Mac. I've got an iMac and working on getting another one so I can keep making videos (the one I have is out of space on HD, really slow and it's like 5 years old).
Probably don't care about any of that ^ but I just felt like posting it
It sucks that it got removed because I saw some videos of it and it looked really fun.
OK, the thing with Virtual Villagers is that it was produced by Vivendi's mobile division. Just after it was released one of the devs came to this forum and said that it wouldn't ever be getting an update because, I think it was Activision Blizzard, had brought the Vivendi division and closed it down. Do a search for Activision on the forum and you'll find the posts I'm sure.
Don't know if it will re-appear, it all depends on who owns the rights and what they want to do with them I guess. So I suspect it's been taken down because of the above.
Crap. I was thinking about buying this awhile back, and the next day I went to go download it and it was gone.
Thanks for clearing that up
The game is all right... It's not the best game for $8 or whatever it was. You're not missing out on much
they let out some crap-tastic games though :[
I still wanted to try it out though.
Weird this is, AppSniper was showing that it had a price drop to $5 the other day. I was like, "Finally, it's back up!" only to be let down once I got in the App Store.
what a bunch of crap
That Appsniper issue sometimes happens when you have a spotty connection. It's something we'll address in an upcoming release.
BTW, Virtual Villagers just appeared again in the app store.
iTunes store link
Yep. It's back in the iTunes store and is cheaper, but I think it is back as a new app. For example, all the reviews no longer appear. Here is the link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=299240126&mt=8
I noticed that Big Fish Games sells this game now, not Vivendi
So my AppSniper wasn't wrong after all. Just a little early.
Guess that's how awesome AppSniper is.. it's wanting to even predict the future now. Scary.
