ah I forgot about that if you use Categories to reduce the number of pages will it help with the memory issue?
I have 288 on my iTunes page, never delete them, and have had it for nearly a year. I had around 30-40 apps downloaded before I got my iPod.
Relating to this I have a quick question. If you have more apps on your device than visible and then delete one that is showing. Will another fill the slot, or will it remain blank until you sync? I have yet to fill my ipod touch with apps so I don't know.
yeah, you can't use the applications tab to arrange those extra apps or it will break, but if you avoid doing that and use the applications on the sidebar to manage everything, then you can keep the extra pages without them breaking...i have over 20 visible pages on my iphone now
Holy crap, so many apps before you even get your iPod lol I have around 150-160 on my iPod. I've probably downloaded close to 1000 though, but I usually delete the app off iTunes if it's not "good enough" to be on the iPod itself. Didn't buy a single app until I got my iPod though
@unknow Nah, you're just living proof that you don't even NEED an iphone/ipod to be an app hoarder, welcome to the club! My VERY feeble excuse is that, the way the AppStore works, if you find some obscure little game today that might be worth snagging but don't do it then...good luck finding it a few weeks from now once 400 new games have been released since then. Although, to be honest, something I've found invaluable is setting up an www.AppShopper.com account and tagging any game remotely interesting with the "I want" check so that I then have all of the potentially cool games I had some interest in at a central location. Later, when in a buying mood, I go back through this list and snag up my current top picks.
And you will get an email about those games whenever there is a price drop. Great way to track when those games go on sale.
