Alan Wake and Fable clones would be the main ones I'd really want to see. Although Alan Wake would probably be very difficult to clone due to a need of intense storytelling and suspense. If the atmosphere isn't accurate, then the game wouldn't feel right. Fable, on the other hand, would be plain awesome and not as hard to clone. Other games that would be nice if they were cloned: - Braid - Age of Empires - Professor Layton (their version) - Rampage - Castle Crashers - Gears of War - Lemmings - Portal
i think a fallout clone would be nice but a decent one wouldnt be possible with current iOS stuff. I think a good metroid clone would be cool. either in 2d or 3d. I agree with the portal clone but its pretty hard to clone that cause the idea is so basic. plus its off the wall humor and game references are crucial to that game and gameloft wouldnt even get close to that with there voice actors and writers.
I think they would be successful with imitations of: Left 4 Dead Mass Effect Dead Space Tomb Raider Zelda Donkey Kong/Banjo Kazooie ....really though, I'd love to see a castle of magic 2
Would nova count as a frag-fest type FPS like quake or more recently for the iphone, archetype or is it more of a strategic FPS?
NOVA is more of a frag-fest type game. You've actually reminded me of what I was going to say earlier, I'd love to see Gameloft try and make a strategic FPS. One where for the campaign you can command a small team of men and give them orders. Or what they could do is clone Socom: Tactical Strike which isn't an FPS or TPS. Instead you just give your soldiers a wide range of orders and watch them carry them out from a floating camera. I know it sounds kinda boring just giving orders, but it was actually a lot of fun and would work very well on a touch screen.
I would love a slick multiplayer space shooter. More Star Battalion would be fine. While we're at it, Tekken or Virtua Fighter please. And Uncharted.
I agree. Asphalt series were originally a title of Gameloft. Springing out from mobile games, I loved playing them ALOT back in mid 2005ish and considering my Nokia Phone my first handheld device. wait, WOAHH! that proves gameloft isn't cloning all their games at all.
Patapon and Little Big Planet they would be great games, since no one's going to make them anyway. Toyshop adventures is meh for me.
Mass Effect 2. Metal Gear Solid. Syphon Filter 2. Mario vs Donkey Kong (Gameboy). Donkey Kong Country Returns.
Perhaps, they'll clone Street Fighter type of game? They don't have something similar so far =P and turn based RPG like Chaos Ring
Ah, the heck with it. They should just clone themselves and get it over with. A NOVA clone A Gangstar Clone A Dungeon Hunter clone A Modern Combat clone Just do it. You know they want to.
I'd love to see some clones of old julian gollup games the most well known being xcom of course but there was a game he had on the zx spectrum called chaos - wizard wars and it's without a doubt one of the best multiplayer games I've ever played even with the dreadful zx spectrum graphics it often won out against playing the Amiga. He really nailed something with that one I haven't seen since. Of course I can't see gameloft going for those ones not well known enough with the exception of xcom which would be a lot of work I'm guessing so I'll suggest the monster hunter style games as well I don't know how many psps those games sold in asia but I know it's an awful lot and anothers about to pop.
