I've been looking back at all the games Gameloft has successfully cloned and was thinking, is there anything left. With there upcoming Uncharted clone, Shadow Guardian, it has left me curious to see what they plan to make next. With the exception of a Fallout or Fable clone, I got nothin. Maybe my brain is just having a slow day but what do you guys think is left for Gameloft to clone?

They haven't made a Zelda-like game, have they?

And by association, they haven't made an Okami one, either, but thank God, Jesus, and everything that is fluffy in the world for that. Let's hope they never try to clone that masterpiece. :)

Gameloft cannot produce enough horsepower to clone adaquately RDR, Mafia 2, or Just Cause. Their open-world engine is the weakest out of all engines that they use. I do not believe they will expend their library of cloned sandbox games.

Gears of War would be the most obvious choice.

    Metal Gear

    Devil May Cry

    Mass Effect

Burnout or Midnight Club. And no, imo Asphalt is not a Burnout clone. Asphalt is not a clone of anything.

Star Craft. Gameloft has never produced internally a RTS, or at least not what i would call a high-end RTS. They only published Rogue Planet, they did not develop it.

Also Final Fantasy. Gameloft has never made a traditional turn-based RPG or JRPG. Dungeon Hunter is an action-RPG and is the only RPG-like game they've done.

Oblivion/Fallout. Aralon is getting a lot of pub and Gameloft could certainly take their crack at that. I imagine it would be fps though and not a tps, like Aralon and Ravensword.

If you're looking for something kinda out of left field, how about a Monster Hunter clone. Monster Hunter has a huge handheld support base. Not much a console following.

Fantasy Star Universe or some other MMORPG-like game, Gameloft has never made.

They could easily clone RDR, Mafia 2 or Just Cause. A clone doesn't have to have to be as advanced as the console games. And a modified engine of their Gangstar 2 engine would work well. Gangstar 2 is a good game and I'd love to see a Read Dead Redemption clone. I bet a couple years ago, you would've said that Gameloft would never clone Halo, COD: Modern Warfare, Gran Turismo, God of War, Uncharted 2 etc.

You say a clone of RDR, Mafia 2 or Just Cause isn't viable, and then you suggest cloning Oblivion or Fallout? Your logic is flawed.

Well it wouldn't surprise me at all. I suppose now is too soon after the console game was released, so If they do decide to clone it it'll probably be released in 2011, or 2012. Anyway, even if they do decide to "clone" it, I'm sure it'll be much more original than the rest of their clones. Free roaming wild west games are a very sparse/unexplored genre, even on consoles/PC. I only know four - Gun 1, Gun 2, Read Dead Revolver and Read Dead Redemption.

They actually have 2 other RTS games.
The Settlers was released in association with Ubisoft and they created Rise of Lost Empires which was clone of Warcraft. (one of my first itouch games :p)
