"Not all features are compatible with all devices. For example, multitasking, custom wallpaper, and Bluetooth keyboard support are available only with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and the third-generation iPod touch (32GB and 64GB models from late 2009)." Is there anything that we CAN look forward to? Will we at least have folders? lol.
anyone know if us ipod 2G users will be able to get wallpaper and background apps in a jailbreak? I mean, you can already do that in the jailbreak, so it should be possible...
woohoo, i just ordered 2 new 3Gs's for my wife and i from att. the 4g wasnt interesting enough to spring for yet. so, does anyone know if iwe get the full ios4 update?
Seriously? We don't get custom backgrounds, that was the only thing I was looking forward too... Time to flame apple, or get a jailbreak *sigh*
not for an extra $100, ill just get a replacement batt. or the case with a batt. in it, or a solar charger
Not bad. Jailbreaking isn't worth the trouble. For example: There's a good reason why multitasking doesn't work on 2nd gen iPods. It's a battery DRAIN. So is Winterboard (the jailbreak app for desktop themes).
Jailbreaking isn't a trouble at all. I've had mine JB'd about 5-6 months now and Winterboard barely touches the battery life. Mutitasking has an effect but I don't use it, just custom themes and icons for me and they result in a better appearance than any wallpaper on iOS4 could.
I had a completely different experience. My battery would barely last for a couple hours with jailbreak themes installed.
FYI you can get custom backgrounds but the default for iOS4 beta 5(GM seed) is an all black background, at least its been that way on my 3GS and 3G. EDIT: Lock screen has the water dripping on glass background by default. The default background behind the icons can be changed in the wallpaper setting EDIT 2: Looks like my 3GS can only change the background in the unlocked screens And the other thing that has pissed me off or I just havent figured out a way around it is you cannot turn on pandora and stream music while you're in another program
