...or are they just making up stuff to get more sales? ZAGG has that in the description of their product. So, is it true or not?
They don't use the same product on helicopter blades, it's the material that's the same. It's like saying my watch is made from the same material used to build the Eiffel Tower.
Are you planning on attaching your device to a helicopter rotor? It's a decent product. Extremely flexible and stretchy -- unless you take an Xacto knife to it, you won't be getting any scratches on it -- and some people like the extra grip it gives on the device. I find the "orange peel" mottling a little unattractive and find these skins harder to clean oil off of than a bare screen, but when it comes to protection against scratches it's hard to beat this stuff. That said, Zagg's competitors make stuff that's just about as good. I've used BestSkinsEver without any problems. The only difference with BSE is you have to make your own applicator solution (water with a drop of soap) while IS comes with a nice spray bottle, and IS comes in a nice box while BSE comes in an envelope. But then BSE a lot cheaper, so you get what you pay for.
I just paid $18 with shipping for the easy install mid level protection product from Zagg for the iPhone 4. I received a 40% off discount when I registered for the free iPad (can get up to 50%). I will let you guys know how it is when I receive it!
