    Hello,

I designed "Rocky River" to be a retro game based on a novel concept, which is that of a fish fighting the current in its journey upstream. Users must fight the current as they navigate the one-path river and fall back with the current with necesasary. I wanted Rocky River to be challenging, but data suggests its its extremely difficult to pick up. Those who have figured it out have told me not to change a thing, but its hard seeing so many low scores! Would love feedback from a community who plays games as friends and family don't give great feedback.

This game is a pain in the a$$! But i really like it. The learning curve may be your barrier to getting new users if they give up too early, but games are meant to be challenging :) I'd compare it Swing Copters when you start out, but, once you find a rhythm you get it. Veteran mode is more fun too once you know how to play bec it feels like you are actually fighting a current, which I think is what you were going for?.. Anyway, Great game and good luck!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I may move to make the entire game just Veteran mode so people play it exclusively. Also, on 4/20 I released another update that should help the learning curve along. I updated the demo scene, added a tips button and removed ads completly until a minimum score is reached and the user demonstrates they understand the mechanics. Hope it helps our user retention numbers.
