Is it possible for specific push notifications to activate the clock's alarm?

Technically, can it be done? Even it can I'm not so sure I'm likely to find an app for what I need... I've only got a Touch yet I need a good way for someone to wake me/get my attention up remotely so a simple phone call is out of the question. I figured it'd be good if the iPod could react to a specific push notification and perform a task. It sounds like more of a jailbreak app than an official one to be honest.

Assuming it wouldn't work... can anyone think of another way for someone to get my attention? I've tried a couple of IM apps but they don't seem in favour of making loud noises... and besides, I kinda don't want to give my whole contact list that ability.

Informant might do the trick, since you can set up alarms from Google calendar on your PC.

    PS I still hate you.

Ah. It's $10 but imo Beejive is the best IM app on the appstore. you could filter your contacts and customize the alert settings...
I would think there must be a jailbroken app to do what you're after but don't know of anything off the top of my head.

edit: the alert sounds are loud enough to get your attention but probably not loud enough to wake someone out of a deep sleep, fwiw.
