I may be a bit late, but I agree completely... It's fine to maybe have one app or two for the (weird) people who like this kinda thing, but whenever I go into the new games and apps section, that's pretty much half of what I see. And the audience scope has to be pretty small, so I don't see the point...
Lol... yeah, you gotta be to make an app like that. And for these kids, wouldn't the parents find out in some way shape or form that they have such an app? So that limits the scope EVEN more. It's just a bunch of devs who don't want to put the effort into a real game and decide to put a bunch of pictures off of Google Images together into an app and sell it for a buck... Really, really stupid.
Hey, I can't help the way that God made you dude...err... dudette. Exactly right. It's the double edged sword of the app store. Anybody can make a game and sell it, but that invites all the crapp developers to slop something together and charge money for it. And unfortunately, we live in a society that will download anything that has even the slightest hint at potential to be pr0nz/low brow humor. Now the store is buried with tens of thousands of these kinds of apps, while the clever little hidden gem game that everyone should be playing gets lost in the shuffle. I swear I'd work totally for free if Apple gave me the job of deciding what's allowed in the app store.
I actually think the Farting Boobs app was a funny idea. They're obviously poking fun at the abundance of fart and boob apps out there. But that said, if you're going to create an app to make a witty social statement, you shouldn't charge for it. Give the thing away for free and have a laugh about it, then maybe use that goodwill to help you sell a REAL app or game.
I actually admire the developer for thinking outside the box on this. Here is a pair of boobs, what's missing. My first thought is "my hands". This guy went in a completely different direction and came up with "gassy discharge". That's a rare bird.

NO, NO ,NO! You got it all wrong! My devious master-plan was to create Farting Boobs as a statement about everything that's wrong on the app store while at the same time collect the big cash. This way I could distant myself from the crap and make money from crap at the same time! Unfortunately the plan backfired and I neither got the credit nor any money to speak of! Damn, seems I have to do some proper work next!
