I do realize his point. However, Gameloft makes A LOT of money just from selling games like MC3 for $7...

I just hate how ALL their games are going freemium.

    Gameloft just a publisher?

I'm not exactly sure of this, but my guess is that Gameloft is buying up small mobile gaming firms for different IP's. EA is doing this now. Even BLOPS: Zombies was an independent studio that was purchased by Activision as well as the console versions being different studios (Treyarch and Infinity Ward) each having their own love/hate in the community.

Perhaps the price-modeling is determined by Gameloft and the studio that created the game. Every contract/agreement might be different. Maybe some studios don't get to keep their OG name once bought by the mighty G.

I agee that some recent releases were rushed to meet the holiday deadline and that reflected poorly among fans with an observant eye. For the rest of the crowd, and those millions of new iphone 4s customers, it is mind-blowing to see what iOS is capable of without the burden of knowing how many gems are in the app store. Hence the positive reviews.

Gameloft games seemed to be great only by IOS standards when they were the only ones releasing console-type kind of games . Now with heavyweights like EA and Epic starting to heavily support IOS, gameloft games look like an afterthought . Honestly after looking at something like dead space on my ipad2 (or Ipod4) it's hard to return to the gameloft action games . It's not a good sign when other small developers are surpassing gameloft fast , games like shadowrun and galaxy on fire 2 destroy anything gameloft has released, on a technical level .

Add to that their embarrassing pricing model and i think that the worst is yet to come .

Good point. This just occurred to me, do you think gameloft cant compete with epic and infinity blade so they just went a different route with the freemium model. I know gameloft can still make good games, MC3 and tin tin show that. Not sure for how much longer but they still have it in them

I haven't tried tintin but I don't think MC3 is impressive . I despise the character models in game loft games , the way you can see the polygons in them . Compare the models of any Gl game with something like shadow gun , the difference is huge . Their fremmium pricing model has no future ,IMO , it is awful .

Freemium isn't for everyone but if it's character models in ur 'to hate' list, check out 9mm. Looks great on my iPod 4g.
