I don't understand why I should calm down when my intelligece and integrity was attacked. Isn't it my right as a man to defend myself and my points?

I didn't start this argument but I will finish it, especially when I come on here everyday to help people out!

    [[EDIT]]
Not to be a jerk, but it's this complacency that has us here in the first place!!!!

Sometimes it pays to take a close look at who's doing the attacking. Often it happens to be people with their own particular agendas, who are best ignored. Just some friendly advice for what it's worth.

Yeah true! I humbly take your advice!

If it seemed as if I was attacking anybody, I sincerely apologize. I was just using this forum for what it is. I'm just saying if you look at my track record on this forum, I've done nothing but try to help people. I never meant for this to escalate into anything more than interlinking threads.

I answer questions in almost every thread I can (especially the "Mass" thread), I talk to devs when no one else will, I started a thread with backtothis for impression because it was requested, and I give my advice when appropriate.

I think everyone uses this forum as a conduit for something, but I never mean to argue or start flame wars. If you look at my posts, as well as how others have responded to me, I think you'll see that; maybe not.

My only agenda is to help and educate people on the forum, as well as be helped and educated. I felt attacked, so I defended myself.

And to you Gabrien, I stand behind everything I've posted in this thread. I, also thank you for starting the thread, whether it has been seen as crying to some people. I'm a person that thinks everyone has the right to voice their mind as long as it's respectful. Again, if I got overly heated I'm sorry!

I had to create a username to reply to this thread.

"...and if I ever meet the developers of Smurfs Village, I'm going to throw a CroCop high kick at each of their faces."

    I laughed hard.

    Thank you

I beleive freemium will go away- and beleive me the fact that there is so many free to play game that are similar, is a good thing.
You can play another game while a timer is going down.
You have a lot more choice
AND THE FREEMIUM MARKET IS RISKY INVESTMENT
Because a lot of free to play game are targeting the same target.

And I think freemium is popular not because we hardcore gamers are not their target, but because some of us lack a spine. ( not to be offended) and ( sorry for being blunt)
    We comply to much !
In those day we not only have to put up with f2p, but single player games that require Internet to be played.
" I think mobile gaming has a bright future they say" the mobile community says.

I don't think so. I think freemium is kind of stupid because it often ends up looting and robbing players. They can buy a full game for say $3 but in a freemium game, they might end up paying thousands of dollars for nothing in the end.

People who refuse to admit that freemium is here to stay do not understand the first thing about economics.

The great pricing strategy wars for mobile is over. Freemium won and premium apps have been relegated to an outliner strategy.

Sad as it is, it's true. I doubt it'll happen to consoles but... Yeah, that's what it is which is a reason I don't play mobile a ton. And no I don't like it because most games do it horribly and it detracts rather then enhances my experience.

I am greatly put off by the freemium model so much so that I actively avoid playing such games. Spending money on them seems just so wasteful. I don't mind IAPs if they unlock new content (like Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer), but constant payments to buy in-app currency are unacceptable to me personally. I have plenty of single-payment games I still haven't played so I'll stick to those.

You know it. I haven't given up on mobile but I've scaled back and picked up on PC gaming again. There still a trickle of decent premium titles flowing to mobile and I hope that doesn't change. However the mobile scence as a whole has tilted away from my interest.

I have bought just about every good premium game over last two years sometimes spending 20-25$ a game and now because of the limited space on my phone and amount of ctap games lately my money is now going to steam and PC gaming as well and I was 100% all in on mobile gaming not long ago. Why continue with it since I'm not an IAP whale and most companies have made it clear that's all they are after. Right now I still buy all Square Enix premium games and that's it for right now.

Aside from refusing to feed mindless greed I hate IAP because it makes it hard for people to play based on their own skills vs power ups, upgrades etc Why the hell would I want to pay extra to beat a game? Or worry that I can't beat a game because I won't pay extra? How do you know your own value as a gamer when you can just pay to pass hard areas instead of getting the satisfaction of finally beating it on your own? I don't give that f2p garbage the time of day, It's premium or nothing for me.

In the future we are all sitting on an iceberg, because of the abuse of the environment.

I think there's market for all kind of games. Freemium is a new type of business model (compared to paid), which is gaining its market now.
Unfortunately, some games are using an abusing freemium model, which may scare some players. Thein I think (and I hope) that it will get balanced in future, and both models will work, depending the kind of game and target audience.
Sometimes I prefer to buy a paid game knowing how much I will pay, instead of getting a free game that I think I will play a few hours and it will try to make the most of my money.

The major problem invading the mobile market is piracy... My game Chel-Z is a good example of that...

That's why a lot of the F2P games exists... If people stopped pirating this wouldn't have happened...
