OK first of all as others said Why would they give this stuff for free. They are in it to make money not lose it. secondly for updates on other products you have to pay. For instance to get Windows 7 you have to pay. And i actually have like parts of the update. Such as the youtube work is brilliant. Also I like in app purchases as it really helps some games (TTR3).
typing in CAPS makes you INCREDIBLY THREATENING!!! please stop before I have an involuntary BOWEL MOVEMENT!!!
They can't give a major update away like they said before, illegal. Now they added spotlight, some bug fixes, updates to things, and in game dlc. They spent a good amount of time so your paying 5-10 bucks to get that update, and then THE ONES AFTER IT (until 4.0 ). People might not update if it weren't for the apps? Well devs chose to take the updates features, which REQUIRE the update. Its not like their going to take out their little fairy magic wand and sprinkle fairy dust so that magically worked on early firmware. The devs chose to take this so then the apps required it. If you updated because of it, your just keeping up with everything. Its like owning a TV, you might have a really old one right now, pay to upgrade to stay ahead and use Blu-ray instead of an old vcr, because they make discs now :O
I agree. This guy has gone from newbie to "senior member" in two short weeks, and almost all of his posts are useless spam. It's ridiculous.
This is the same thing I pointed out about the Tweetie 2 "update"... @kijib: How many "apps" do you have on your iPod touch that you purchased yourself? (Meaning not the Apple apps that come with the iPod touch) I'm guessing a couple at least. So you probably paid more than the $5 that the 3.0 upgrade cost. Yet here you are complaining about it. Also, there are quite a few people out there that are still using 2.x on their iPod touches including myself. I don't remember seeing anyone sent out to force iPod users to upgrade, so you had a choice to upgrade and yet I'm guessing that you did. So, lets take a quick inventory of upgrades over the last few years: Windows Vista: ~$150 per computer Windows 7: ~$120 per computer (or ~$200 for 3 computers) Leopard: ~$130 (or $200 for 5 computers) Snow Leopard: $29 (or $50 for 5 computers) iPod touch 2.x: $10 iPod touch 3.0: $5 Looks to me that Apple is being a pretty decent company considering. Family packs are a way better deal from Apple than from Microsoft. Even though Apple has to charge for iPod upgrades, they lowered the cost to less than a single lunch out. I'm sorry, I'm just not seeing the problem here. Seems to me, that the problem lies with the user here, not the company. It sounds to me like @kijib needs to start looking for another hand-held gaming system that sells it's software cheaper and doesn't charge for OS upgrades. Oh, I forgot, there isn't any such device. The closest would be the Sony PSP, but they charge at least $20 per game and only have about a thousand or so to choose from. Good luck with that search @kijib.
You should look at xdanleex's posts. He even publicly admitted that he was trying to post as much as possible just to have more posts...
Is this forum being moderated/maintained by anyone that could deal with folks that are trolls? It seems odd that someone should go from newbie to senior in just a few weeks.
...dont forget to add they take a ****ing year to approve apps that people actually want *cough* Minigore and Eliminate *cough*
Didn't I pull off this amazing feat, too? Admittedly most of my posts back then were spam of sorts...
good god kijib and xdanleex definitely take the cake for most useless mems that have joined in the last month..i think..dare i say...they're catching up to itman??
I don't spam anymore, I used to spam back before I found the lounge. Even then, the most I would spam was "man I need a lot of gift cards!"
Lol, I really don't think I'm a spammer, but if anyone does tell me how I should go about not being one. I hate spammers, and I hate with the fire of a thousand suns xdanleex's habit of spamming. lol.
