I'm half n half with this one right now. I like look and concept of it. I don't like the frame rate drops, and timers.
^dunno what causes the framerate drops on ipad4, but it plays flawlessly (but of course no retina) on my ipad mini. And i mean no slowdowns or framerate drops whatsoever. The game is really good i should say, but it will require too much grinding to the point of making one cry, or go the IAP way. Timers are easily countered by using other armors, much similar to how you can get to play Injustice non-stop. The timers are actually more forgiving here than Injustice, but will require more grind to unlock everything. Timers (despite being bothersome on their own), i assure you, is not the problem in this game... The grinding is.
The frame rate is definitely getting a hitch a little compared to my iPhone 5. I don't have the mini at home today, so it'll be this evening before I can try it on there. Another thing is not cloud saving? I mean, I have two separate game progressions going between the ipad 4 and iphone 5.
Fly, shoot, spend, rinse, repeat... Not sure I'm a fan yet, movies are great but tie-ins have sloppy controls and a ton of IAP's. I don't mind the occasional IAP for "doubler" type items. But when a game is based soley around grinding, waiting for timers and doesn't offer very exciting gameplay, I try and steer clear. Shame, trailers made this look half decent... planck
Yeah the grinding is terribad. Timers are a minor nuisance only. I have an iPad 2 and it plays flawlessly too (same hardware as the mini as most of you guys are aware).
Yup... Touch works best. You can even just touch an area to accurately go to that spot, which helps when avoiding the fighter planes. I tried it with rockets and it's fine, but i prefer sliding.
So wait a minute, I came back to try this again today to do the daily mission. It is a new boss, continuing the story. I just realised that the story progression itself is locked behind day long wait timers! I'm assuming that is how you eventually get to the other two areas? This really is a whole new level of blocking out and artificially extending a games content with freemium bullspit!
LOL yeah... Could be a way to encourage daily playing, but more often will be interpreted as more virtual timer crap. Good thing the presentation of the whole thing is still endless, and not a story mode.
The bosses with an achievement behind them is a nice touch, though. I actually like the fact that there are any enemies at all.
I really wish developers would start using iCloud sync. There is no excuse for a big name company like gloft to not have this, other than they think they can get twice as much money from those of us with more than one device. Pretty lame. iCloud sync should be a required feature in all games... especially ones with IAP
Nice, I didn't know you could just tap a spot on the screen to go there. Dude, you just made my day lol!
I like the tilt controls better. So far, I'll just play this on the iPhone 5. It's running better and the tilt is pretty easy to use. Also, played this on my Nexus 7 as well. Goodness. KILLED the battery fairly quickly, and it was HEATED up. I only played 10 mins on the thing and lost over half the battery, and it was just below "hot to the touch".
Does anyone know if dismantling an old, lower-level armour frees up space to build a new one? Getting enough gems for all armours otherwise seems like a drag or almost impossible And if you want some competition add me: amusingGrace I really like the live leaderboards on the side and I'm generally happy with the game, besides the whole free-to-play nagging of course.
Once you get better suits, your score will rise! I've been behind Exact Psience for the whole day, got a better suit and bam! And once you get past the 25.000m mark, the game gets crazy but you get used to it quick and it's quite a ride then. Still, anyone knows if dismantling a suit frees up space in the "garage"?
