You don't tap the screen to move but slide your finger from the middle or use tilt. Framerate drops seem to be mostly on iPad 4, Mini is decent. I find it acceptable, just nothing great. Timers aren't an issue either. I played five hours straight with two Iron Man costumes and never waited. Gameloft should not have included those, they will just get a lot of hate for those, even if they aren't intrusive. Boredom was the biggest issue.
Even a fool can fit a 1GB game onto his device if he really wants to play it, but you've actually got to hate yourself to put up with timers in an endless runner.
Seriously, timers halting gameplay is always a terrible idea. Who in marketing or design thought of it anyways. It's like saying "Please stop playing our game".
That's why i dissed the timers in Dream Chaser. Im pretty sure i'll be dissin this one real soon too, but i'll give it a shot.
Non retina on iPad 3....smooth frame rate at least. Gameloft is up to no good. DH4 could have been one of the best games around, and this is pretty stupid.
I actually loved Iron Man 2 on the iPhone when that released, so I was looking forward to this when I saw it. Surprisingly, it's a runner! (I think you all figured that out by now ). But... I think that trailer made it look kind of fun. Like StarFox, if it were licensed as Iron Man! I might try this. Looks like it has some potential
Funny how perceptions can change once you read about the terrible business model... now I'm not nearly as excited for this since I see everyone talking about timers and IAP. Timers are the devil... ...damn it.
I don't think so...there's something weird behind every Gameloft title...Pass! House of the dead has taken all my attention for today...
Lmao this made me laugh so hard. I have iPad 4th gen also. If the frame drops are this bad. Does that mean that iPad 4 is getting old already?
No, I think it's to get kids out there that have access to their parents itunes accounts to pay the money to keep playing. Many parents are pretty dumb about this stuff too. We, the gamers, are not the target of the freemium market. Timers are a huge negative. I'm kind of tired of runners and freemium designed games anyway. I'm going to try to put my time more into premium games since that's all I spend my money for games on anyway.
