For me, it is. Jut know what you get into. It's a runner/action shooter (reminiscent of After Burner, more so because of the speed), and a great one at that. But, like most freemiums, is full of ridiculous IAPs and IAP push, and somewhat not so bad timers, but we all know all timers are bad.
So if people can get over the timers and IAPs, it's a great game correct? Well might as well give it a try.
It's just sad you have to get over anything. It's like saying "if you can get over the fact she's hideous, has a terrible personality, hates you with a passion and killed a bunch of kids, she makes a fantastic wife".
Yeah, get multiple suits as fast as you can, to counter the wait timers. Just like how it is important in RR3 to get a lot of cars. And at the continue wait timer, tap on the outside multiple times to get it to advance quickly.
If you have a 4th gen iPod touch dont get it. I've been experiencing lag and controls issues (sometimes it will shoot instead of move) when I use the touch controls. This coulda have been a great game. I finally unlocked another armor only to find out that I had to get tons of credits to build it. I woulda been happy if they woulda just charged $5 for the game and made it less of a grind to earn armors. Having gems and credits is dumb. They shoulda had only one, not both.
I'm going to try to sum all of this up: 1) ISO unlocks suits, but you have to get stark coins to build them or upgrade them. Strike 1 2) the more advanced your suit, the longer the "repair time". Strike 2 3) not having a confirmation button on purchases that spend the ISO or coins....STRIKE 3!!! I accidentally hit the purchase button on a lower grade suit, so poof! There went 300 ISO. I've also encountered a glitch where when you build a suit, sometimes it'll take your coins but NOT build the suit. I like this game, but Gameloft really went the low road with the multiple currencies AND a damn timer. I'm starting to hate everything Marvel, because it all has potential but is then RUINED by "free to play." Look at Avengers and how poorly they treated us with that one. This is just another example of extreme greed When are these hideous practices going to stop!?!?
I'm wondering... do I have to be in Manhattan with this Mark 17 armor on? I was able to play the first scene a couple times with it, but I'm always in Manhattan now.
I am somewhat familiar with hexadecimal and would love to bump up my iso8 and other currency, but I am having a difficult time finding what file to edit amongst my save files. And I tried transferring save files between my iphone and ipad with no luck. Anyone else either transfer their saves somehow or edit a file to up their currency? Thanks for any info!
It's too bad that getting new armors almost seems to REQUIRE an IAP. I've enjoyed playing it so far, but it seems like getting ALL the armors is well outside the realm of possibility.
I think its possible to do w/o any IAP. It's just going to take a while. We'll find out, because I'm going to continue playing and playing until I've unlocked it all without IAP.
I almost have the War Machine unlocked so that I have a third-tier armor. Im missing only a couple thousand xp, but im still about a hundred thousand short of stark credits. So yeah, IAP isnt needed, BUT the game somehow forces IAP on you due to how slow Stark Credits is acquired.
