I tend to agree with you, especially seeing as Spider-Man and Batman were quite successful, especially the former. IMO whether this game is F2P or not will be indicative of whether the majority of Gameloft's future releases will be freemium.

Afterburner meets Green Lantern (iOS); there could be an endless mode but I see a few stops and boss fights. Worry less about it being "another" and more about it being fun.
