    It has been a war zone ever since Touch Arcade's Upcoming review and our game release last week. We are now starting to get acquainted with a lot of things. Will keep you posted.

    I for one really like the UI, really reminds me of Dark Souls.

    Really nice to see the developers come here at TouchArcade and engage with the players, making me love the game even more. Just wish I had more time on my hands to play this beast!

    I'm farming the Prowler at Chapter 2 like cray right now. I think I have like 25 losses in Atone and only 2 wins, having a really hard time with that.

    Totally agree on the UI. The gameplay interface looks intimidating at first, but then the 'button' placements just make sense. I suppose adaptation plays a role, but it made sense to me pretty fast. The menu interface took a little longer to acclimate to, but it makes sense as well. It all just works, somehow, lol. I also fully appreciate how the devs are so engaging here, AND I'm all up on chapter 2's Prowler demon. An easy level to farm for mats and levels in prep for chapter 3.

    So I'm gathering that we are very similar. Awesome. Hah

    @Pham & @CRAYTATO:
    I like the UI, too. There is a clear divide in regards to the UI. Most of the people that we have engaged with that want us to keep this direction in UI are used to Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, or really early old school games. What stumps us is how to keep it functional and not fancy. We are trying to stay away from sparkly fancy things that have lots of stars and round angles.

    Don't know why I forgot to address Atone/PVP in the last sentence of your post. I think I got significantly better the moment I read that the opponents are AI and not a real person. Being that they're controlled by an AI, you'll notice certain patterns after a while in their attacks.

    My biggest advice is to click out of auto-target so that your character won't be barred by slow movement. From there, it's easier to bait out their attacks and then do a 2-hit combo followed by a sidestep or block (your opponent will regain poise after the 2-hit and will always hit you first before you can complete a 3-hit combo). I generally never do a complete combo unless I know I won't be hit or can take the trade-off. Also, practice timing your 3 hit combo before the AI walks up to you in order to stagger and do massive damage immediately.

    Lastly, I hope you like using the Greatsword. The gauntlets don't have enough range and power and can easily get punished by both Lancers and GS users. Lancers have excellent range but hit like wet noodles. The GS hits hard, has crazy pokes, wide sweeps, and ridiculous range without much need to upgrade anything.

    Meh, the most I'd ask for is to give us an option to scale transparency in the UI and to allow HUD customization (via resize and move any 'button icon'). Giving options are always good. :)

    Fake edit: Also, the bridge/desert/sandstorm pvp arena is the most evil thing ever. I would say well over half of my 50 something losses were from falling off or getting knock off. Gravity > the players.

    I'm compiling your previous feedback on the previous page and here. I've compiled most of the feedback from this forum, Email, comments, and the reviews. The devs and I will go through what each of us have compiled from Western countries, Korea, and feedback through a gamer in Japan, and stuff from other countries (some using Google Translate). It pains us that we don't speak all the languages of our players, and can't be on all the forums/blogs. Our plan at first was to launch in countries that spoke English as a primary or a secondary language, but just went ahead with a worldwide release. We've been attending to issues sporadically in short bursts, but think we should sit down and do an AAR (After Action Review). We are going to get back together tomorrow morning after going through all the reading material tonight, discuss content, operations, and technical issues and how that will impact our previous roadmap and... YOU. After that I hope to get back to you with some details. I have a feeling that there are many things you won't be happy in regards to my upcoming posts about our current direction, mostly due to technical issues or previously planned milestones, but nevertheless these are things that we here would like to loop you in on. <-- This, this is one of the reasons Korean publisher-developers don't/can't work with us...

    Edit: Gravity > the players. You can thank From Software for that. We're just paying tribute.

    I guess we are, hah. But yeah, I am an exclusive Lance-user, so that may be why I'm having trouble with Atone. It just clicked with me, probably because of the similarity with Monster Hunter.

    @dev. I really hope the game doesn't change drastically in regards to your future plans. Nonetheless, I look forward to see what you guys have in store.

    On a sidenote, your free-to-play model suits me surprisingly well, in terms of short bursty gamesessions and I do not feel pressured to buy IAP in order to progess, rather, I buy IAP to support developers who I feel got something great going and wish for them to succeed, which in return, hopefully, will bring even more amazing content and new games. You are added to my list of these developers as of now.

    How come games do not support older iOS version anymore? I still have iOS 7 because I don't want my battery to drain any faster from update. But nowadays all the games come only compatible for iOS 8. Makes me so sad I cannot try this game :(:(

    Hi,

    First:
    You team doesn't answer my emails, so I have to contact you about this site

    Since this morning I have to pay 2 shards for an atone and now I only get like 8-10 (before ~20)
    I hope that this is a bug otherwise it's impossible to increase my rank from 24 to the top 10:eek:

    And I forgot to mention:

    The xp- requirements for a level up of 20 and above are to high. You should either decrease it or implement some special events or stuff like that idk.
    I don't want to play one level 20-30 times to level up...

    We are receiving a flood of Email and feedback and are barely chipping away at it, but it's going. I'm sorry we can't answer everyone's Emails, but definitely looking through as many issues as we can. As I mentioned in a previous post, I will try to lay out our schedule and the issues we hope to tackle as soon as we have organised data/feedback--taking longer than I expected.

    But, okay, I will answer your question first, because you seem like a nice person, and I don't want you to feel left in the dark, and it looks like this is a really important issue for you, and I am just getting to understand the game balancing/design issue myself.

    Our game concepts developer/writer received your Email this morning, with a host of other Emails that she is compiling at the moment by herself. This was one of the issues that we had hoped to address in another post. Anyway, she just forwarded your Email to me, as she is at home taking care of her toddler--like, doing Mom stuff.

    The adjustment was posted in Notice yesterday till 02:00 (UTC). So, no, it is not a bug. A couple of reasons below for the change:
    1. Ranking Issues/Balancing
    - /u/Boba (and many higher rankers) living in PvP have accrued (or have the ability to accrue) an unholy number of Bone Shards. The number of Bone Shards they use a day will outpace any new comers to the PvP area. This means that the high ranking PvPers will indefinitely remain undisputed, even with the current weekly refresh. Lower ranking players and noobs don't have a chance. We see this as a problem. To alleviate this problem we had to re-calibrate how many Bone Shards should be used + the amount of Faith a user receives. If you defeat a lower level corrupt you receive less Faith. Defeat a higher level corrupt you receive more. Thus, this was a balancing of both the use of Bone Shards, Faith gained, rewards gained, and ranking. One of the larger considerations was that we want the battle between ranks to be tighter. So, this is what I understand of the issue, and it looks like this will constantly be calibrated. Actually, we are surprised and grateful for the amount of PvPers. PvP was just a one-off thing we put in because someone made it, and you would have another thing to enjoy. It was never intended for this build. I forget how it even made it into this version...

    2. Challenge Issue
    - We also wanted to channel you more towards Challenges. Challenges offers many rewards, but to attain the rewards you have to play the game fully. Daily log-in, quests, forge, kill, die, Atone, etc. This is a good place to get Bone Shards, but to attain it you have to play. We want you to pay attention and have a chance to fully go through the game.

    Btw, our concept developer just texted me. She told me to tell you that a bug fix that you mentioned is waiting for review right at this moment, and to tell you to have a nice day, and thank you, for her, for playing the game. Okay, I'm heading back to our production meeting. Again, I hope to have a short update about where we are headed as soon as I can. And don't fret, I/we are watching here and on Google+ and on Facebook. The consensus is to streamline everything towards Facebook, but, for now, wherever I/we can.

    Yeah, I've recognized that the No1 couldnt had become this far on a legal way. Idk if u know it but there are all ready cheats out there ( check it out "iosgods" or something like that)
    But if he has 11.000 and I have like 2.700 and u decreased the amount of shards how could anyone be ever able to catch him up?

    I'm looking forward to new content/changes:p

    How to get gear to level 2 and 3?

    The explanation of this is pretty vague to me. As an example, The ranger armor says that once you get to level 3 you can get 30% more XP. I've leveled up each piece to level 9 (or G10 as it says), and still I'm only at level 1..... and getting the 10% XP increase. What else needs to be done?

    Haha, this new matchmaking system is nuts. I'm getting straight up bodied by people wearing maxed Lyrius(?) defense set. Greatsword damage either got tuned or the Lyrius set is just that resilient. Can't tell for sure. Fairly excited that PVP won't be a farmfest though. Looks like I need to work on crafting either an elemental weapon or get a new set of armor.

    That said, the "burst" weapons seem to trigger unusually high for the AI opponents. Of the 10+ matches I just played, my "burst/explosion" triggered twice as opposed to the AI almost always getting the killing blow from a burst proc. Might as well add that when my burst did proc, it hit like a wet noodle. Then again, it could just be the Lyrius armor.

    I just burnt my hands from playing this game.. :p jk but damn this game really does get my phone HOT as hell. Almost more than OddWorld strangers wrath.
