So i'v been thinking "what if a new iPod touch had the same 3G capabilities of the 3G iPad?" now of course you'll be thinking that's crazy because there's already an iPhone. But paying for just 3G on the go is significantly cheaper than the whole shebang of call, text, mms, etc. This would definitely make the iPod touch more useful in situations w/o wifi. So this idea, yay? Nay? Personally, I wish it was like the new kindle where 3G is free, but we know with greedy apple that's not gonna happen.
