      Is there a way to put a photo into my iPod touch without importing it to iTunes first? Like using windows explorer?

      Nah, Windows views it as a camera, not a memory drive. You could get a viewer app. iFiles transfers pics, videos, words docs, etc, by pairing it with your computer and you simply drag and drop. You could use that, or a similar viewer.

      is iFiles compatible with windows? do you have to pay for it?

      Email the pic to urself, then open the email on ur iPod Touch, and save the picture to your album

      Yep, it's compatible. It's 99c, but well worth it IMO. I use it almost every day. Don't let the rating deter you, though,
