I bought an iPod touch 2 days ago. While playing gt racing, the bottom part of my iPod touch 3g gets heats up very fast. Is this normal? And the battery is draining very quickly. Is there any hardware problem?
Games drain battery and heat up my iPod too. I think it's just that iPods aren't built too well for games in those regards.
I have a mini fridge on my desk to store beer, and also when my iPhone gets a bit too hot I just pop it in the fridge for a couple minutes to let it cool down, lol. I think the heating problem is quite common when playing big games, but if it happens when idling then there is something wrong.
lol. It might not be a good idea to do this too often. The moisture from your fridge could build up in the iPod and short something out.
Yeah, I usually don't play for more than 20 minutes at a time, but in the rare occasion that I do, my Touch'll get pretty toasty. Battery life has always been crappy.
The bottom part gets Really Hot when I'm playing graphically intensive games while it's charging. A much more effective 'hand heater' than that ridiculous app.
Using the mophie juice pack air on my Iphone and it gets extremely hot while recharging. Sometimes I think it's about to burn a hole in my pocket because it gets so hot which is why I only use it when I really need it.
