    Anyone buying this?

Interesting specs, but it seems to be on par with a prior iPhone model. No surprise.

My iPod is a 4th gen model that gets very little use from non-gaming apps that still support it. I didn't really use it all that much the past couple of months. I've got a cheap Android phone that does what I wanted my iPod to do and has the screen about the size of an iPhone 6. Between the phone and my iPad Air, I really don't see a reason to bother. I'm probably better off saving that money for my next iPad.

When was it released/announced? This is the first I've heard of it.

My 4th gen is still in use mainly as a pda although its still chock-full of games (just in case) but the battery has very limited use and has to be tethered if used longer. I'd been hoping for a new ipod Touch (I really don't need the phone part of it so forget the iPhone), just need a new pda really. Seriously considering the 16 gig and at $200 I'm really swayed .

Should I get this or an android tablet (Asus, Samsung)?
