Just got a new Ipod Touch 3g, my old one broke so apple replaced it. And I'm going to be careful this time and get some added protection. I'm debating whether to get a SwitchEasy Rebel Touch Red or White ($20), or Torrent White/Grey ($30) http://www.switcheasy.com/products/RebelTouch/RebelTouch.php# http://www.switcheasy.com/products/TorrentTouch/TorrentTouch.php Or do you guys have better suggestions? I was also looking at Speck's CandyShell, but it was going for $35. As of now, I'm looking towards RebelTouch White. But I had a NeoTouch White, which got extremely dirty. Does the Rebeltouch use the same clip material? If not, I'll just get Rebel Red.
The Rebel. Also, anything white, be it cars, phones, clothing, ect. will seem more dirty than it's black counterpart.
I've got a basic hard shell cover and a leather Gear4 wallet for mine. The nice thing is the ipod with the shell fitted actually fits into the wallet so while it looks normal I've actually got two layers of protection. I like the look at the ones you linked though maybe I should replace the basic shell on mine with something more up to date. The cases I like the best though are iphone only which is annoying I'm thinking of this company http://www.tech21.uk.com If they made one suitable for ipods I'd definitely buy one. The reason I like these ones is the D3o material they use it's the same stuff being used in advanced bodyarmour it's usually soft but hardens immediately on impact. Basicly the harder you hit it the harder it is.
I have a rebel so I was initially pulling for that case, but that Torrent one is damn sexy. They have pretty much the same features and protection factor, so I guess it is all up to looks. I'd get the Devil Rebel (Black/Red; I have this one) or the Torrent in Lime Green.
I got my case from www.handhelditems.com and am really happy. Its just a rubberized hard shell but it works. They have a bunch of choices for a pretty reasonable price. My wife got some cases for her moto droid and they are pretty good too.
