I'm having issues syncing my iPod to my new MacBook. I've authorised both my UK and US accounts, transferred my purchases from my iPod to my Mac and now I'm creating a backup...

...however, when I sync, it doesn't appear to copy any games I've downloaded from iTunes onto my iPod. Including Lockdown (redeemed from US store) and Hook Champ (purchased from UK store).

    Any idea what's going on?

:(. Rebooting your computer or quitting iTunes first.

Hmm... Strange. Did your macbook say it was syncing the apps over?

Do you mean that your apps aren't transferring onto your Macbook?

Did you happen to try clicking on the Sync Applications box to clear the check, then click on it again to allow a sync? Note - I don't know if it'll also reset your check marks on the applications - for me that would be a pain, and I don't know if that would work, but might be worth the try. (Or some variation of that with quitting iTunes?)

I'm a PC and I nominate this for a posty.
I laugh at apple moving the blame of everything to someone else. Adobe, Google, Microsoft, AT&T...

It said it was syncing apps from iPod > MacBook, but not MacBook > iPod, it just says "syncing" for about 5 seconds then finishes.

As above, that part works, I just can't get newly purchased apps to go the other way.

Y'know... I haven't actually. I can't open the Applications tab due to being jailbroken and using Categories... I guess I'll have to disable it and then try.

I blame both MS and Apple. If I'd never used it with my PC first it wouldn't have messed up my MacBook syncing... but Apple really should have dealt with that.

Bah, y'know what, that fixed it. The sync applications box just wasn't ticked. I guess I should have known, but I was kinda hoping I wouldn't have to delete all my folders to find out. Hopefully it'll stay ticked now, thanks :)

Even OSX can't prevent user error.

Yeah it was my bad. We all know jailbreaking is against Apple's policy so they're not to blame when it prevents us from seeing the Applications tab. That's the price you pay for customisation.
