Does anyone know how much energy a 1st gen ipod touch uses to fully charge? I've looked all over and can't find it anywhere...

Found this on a site for 1G batteries. It's not the same as the original, but it should help you estimate.

"Lithium Polymer 3.7 volts 580 mAh Higher Capacity than Original Battery."

If you've been using one since release/near release, it's probably at 75% capacity by now, considering how many times you charged it.

And what's the point of having a portable device if you have to drag along a solar charger? Whether case or separate object, they're bulky as hell.
