    yes
So I downloaded some apps using my iPod, and also logged on my friends' account (with his permission) to download his share of the games we purchases from EA/gameloft during the sale. I go on to play nova for a couple missions, then when I sync with my compy, it delete some of his games and my games, but not all, and randomly (except for the app I put some time into).

    What gives?

It should only be deleting apps that you downloaded using his account - because you didn't buy them.
Whenever you sync with your account, it recognises that they weren't downloaded using your account and it automatically wipes them off.

It shouldn't be deleting apps that you downloaded. Make sure that they are all checked in the "Applications" tab after you have clicked on your device under the "Devices" section.

No it deleted some of my apps too, and since they weren't on my comp, I didn't check the applications tab.

Well that's strange. Normally if you download an app on your device then go to sync it comes up with the message asking you if you want to transfer your apps. Sorry, but I really don't know how/why this is happening.

Happens to me too, sometimes Apps just aren't flagged for syncing so they get removed. Must be a bug.

I've had this problem too. So far I've only noticed it deleting apps that I purchased with my iPod. I'm not sure if it has to do with a bug or something. Before iOS4, iTunes would normally copy over a purchase if it found that it wasn't in your library, but it's just flat-out deleting it off my iPod. I lost my save info for a few apps because of it. :(

I'm pretty sure I've had a few apps do this because of the OS requirements, happened to me with OS3 as well - I just about crapped my pants when a sync uninstalled Jet Car Stunts (which had been on my computer and iPod for a long time) which I think happened because I was a 2.x holdout for longer than I should have been (and will be a 3.x holdout until Isotope gets updated! ;))
