I was orginally not going to get the iPhone until slingplayer was released for it, but then changed my mind and got it on the first day. I have been waiting for this app for a long time, as I had it on my Treo650 (a far inferior device). It should be interesting to see how they price it, they usually charge $29.99 for SlingPlaye mobile for other devices but in the app store that's going to seem like a hefty price tag (I would gladly pay $29.99 to have SlingPlayer on my iPhone).

I would definitely pay $29.99 for it. I've been waiting for this since I got my iPhone.

You might pay $30, but there's no way I would.

Since the SlingBox itself costs $200-$300 depending on which unit you get (not to mention the cost of an iPhone/iPod Touch), $30 is kind of inconsequential to be able to watch your TV anywhere with 3G coverage.

You'll be able to watch it ovver 3G? I thought is was something that was just compatible to your Sling Player (like your computer) and watch it over WiFi. If it's over WiFi, I think they should make it free because that Sling Player is pretty expesnive..

Why wouldn't you be able to watch it over 3G? That's how all the other SlingBox Mobile apps work (which are also $30). I'm not sure why they'd give it away, especially with the high demand the app will have. $30 is a steal to be able to watch anything on my TiVo anywhere.
