    Australia, mate!
Should I get one? Do I really need one? Do iPhone screens scratch easily?

I have a 3G and you definitely need a screen protector. I never drop or ruffhouse my touch but somehow the screen scratches without a shield. I use the anti glare screen protector from apple and it works pretty good. I just don't like how the texture is not smooth, I'm thinking about replacing it. Does anyone know a good screen protector?

I have a 3rd Gen iPod Touch, (there's no oleophobic screen) and have had it for 4 months. More importantly, I've had a 1st Gen. iPod Touch, for two years, and it doesn't have a scratch on the screen. Just be careful with it, and nothing will happen. :)

InvisibleShield. Put it on my Touch 3G and never looked back. Most of the places you can get it from have employees that can install the shield for you, which is nice, as sometimes it can be a nuisance to put on. They're professionals at it, and I've never had a problem with air bubbles when they install the shield. They've got a really cool warranty policy where if the shield starts peeling, you can bring it back to them and they'll replace it free of charge.

Dropped my Touch 3G from four feet onto a concrete surface the other day, face-down. All I got was a dent in the shield; no damage to the Touch's surface itself, and none internally from what I can tell. It works, I can tell you that.
